You can restrict notifications in App Settings.. same for Background Activity for non optimized Apps.

That's probably a fault on your side (Software) try to disable notifications for Apps you don't really need. If I had root, Appops & Shizuku Manager is a good way to restrict background activity for some Apps

Do you mean flashing recovery via fastboot and flashing the magisk zip in recovery? How do I update when there's a new OTA? Edit: I understand, booting twrp and then flash the zip ^^
