I have an original shield tablet that has been deactivated, it is the LTE version.
So now I have an opportunity to acquire a fully functional motherboard from the same generation, the only difference is it is wifi only so can anyone tell me if it can be modified with the necessary components from the bricked tablet so that a sim will work with the wifi only board?
Is it just a matter of swapping over the component the ribbon from the antenna on the back cover attaches into, is that the only difference between the two or is there more to be considered? Sorry I probably haven't explained it too well.
