Hello, could some one help me? I'm new to MyTouch rooting(I'm coming from a rooted G2 and rooted G1) and this phone isn't mine, its my brother's. He has a MyTouch 1.2 with the 3.5mm headphone jack on it. It had the 2.2.1 OTA on it so it has the new Radio/SPL, what would I need to get this working on it? From what I can figure out, I would need this ROM and a separate kernel, but I'm not sure which one or if that is even what I need to do. So, what would I need to do to get this ROM working on the phone? Thank you.
Yes, Words w/Friends is NOT working with Ginger Yoshi...or I should say that I have the same problem on my G1
I didn't have issues with Words w/Friends on COS-DS 04052011 but after a while, COS-DS would kick me out of apps back to the homescreen (e.g: Facebook, WordFeud, Words with Friends, etc.) didn't happen in the previous betas and I haven't tried 04072011...I thought I'd give Ginger Yoshi a try.
It's really good so far. Pretty quick too!

I can live without Words with Friends on my G1 since I play it on my Nook Color instead.

I was able to get words with friends working by changing the name on the ro.product.model in the build prop. Since I'm using a mytouch 3g 1.2 I changed the model name to T-Mobile mytouch 3g 3.5mm jack

im gonna start using titanium backup more often.... but i actually nand before i attempted this so i just restored back to the previous version of ginger yoshi. i didnt expect that i would of had to wipe before flashing because that actually how i been updating with gingeryoshi but i will try it again tomorrow after work
i am actually on a ginger yoshi 1.0 RC 6 which is a 2.3 rom... i havent been on a Cyanogenmod rom in a while....

As long as the phone is rooted w/ correct radio/spl combo all you need to do is install rc7 and a 32b kernel of your choice and then reboot. I have the same phone and so far I've had the best battery life on rattking's 2.6.35.12 kernel: http://db.tt/sDB7VDR but the kernel in jjrumps signature has been tested longer for stability so its your choice. Good luck and let us know if anything happens to go wrong

You dont have the right bootloader, you must install 1.33.2010 eng spl, we cant add all the spls that 32A magic have
Why did you uninstall it just update with that file you have and you should be fine

They seem to be working on issues from multiple fronts and as I have a terrible suspicion that we aren't going to see many future releases for this platform, having a super well done ROM for the Dream/Magic/Sapphire is certainly sometime I'm for. The more issues they squash before release the better.

That's a question that has not got a precise answer.
The amount of work left is directly related to the number of issues that arise from the work currently being done...
If the things in progress don't cause any new problems, then your answer is, not much. If, however, what's done today cause 3 new problems, then the answer is... at least 3 new problems worth... depending on whether or not the fixes for those three problems cause more problems or not...
Make sense?
I haven't looked a the issues log... in fact,... crap... need to find out if we have an issues log I guess
RC7 seems to be working fine for me on the fender, I'm not so sure it's about stability at this point as it is about perfection...
Use it, enjoy it, and update when the next revision turns up!

for 32b you need SPL 1.33.0013d and RADIO 2.22.28.25 or 27.08 just flash normal ginger yoshi
for 32a you need SPL 1.33.2010 or 1.33.2009 and RADIO you will need the old radio(3.22) flash 32a kernel
if you are on 32a new radio then download the ginger yoshi 32a new radio just flash 32a new radio
