o and umm you should be able to mount it by taking it out of ur phone and plugging it into your computer... you can get the lil adapter for like 3$ if you dont have it... makes it so you can plug the card in you computer direct thru usb connection...

unable to sign into andoid market from htc dream

guys im having problem with my htc g1 dream whenever i open the market application it asks me to sign in by google account but when i do it says "cant establish a reliable data connection to server" everey thing works fine browsing etc.plz help me i dont hv any aaps in my phn

It could be a slow internet connection try to find another internet provider

is your device rooted?

what is meant by "device rooted" and iv tried many wifi conections and used it via 3g also but it doesnt work and internet speed works fine .

i mean like did you hack it and flash roms onto it or is it the stock firmware from purchase and just been updated to 1.6?

i dont know my father used this and he dont know any thing about it what should i do to check it and my firmware is 1.6

ok what you want to do is power off your device. than you have to hold the home+power buttons, keep holding them untill the G1 logo appears. and depending on the screen that comes up which in your case it should be the little triangle with "!" in the middle of it? if thats the screen you get, than i need you to press alt+l <<thats a lower case L

) after pressing that a menu should pop up, then you are going to press alt+w which will reset your phone to factory default. so make sure you back up all the files you need on your sd or computer.

when you power on the phone holding home+power if you get a different screen from what i described than you may possibly be rooted, in that case DO NOT follow those instructions bcause you will have to flash a rom...

try that first and tell me what happens

Hey I did it!! and i did it through ADB and im gonna upgrade it to cm 6.1
because it supports the arabic language.

thats true but believe me or not i got the solution right here on XDA forums

Read these articles carefully and you will have it the way you want it to.

First read this guide and you will have adb installed on your pc so you can run commands on your phone http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=532719

now when all that is done and you have your adb installed and your phone connected all you have to do is wipe all data from your phone then load the images required as its been clarified in this post

now that you have recovery image loaded into your phone go to this site to finish the loading the rest of file as its shown in this post

was doing all the steps mentioned on those posts and trust me it a long way and it cant be easier than this

so what i did was deleting all data on my phone
mount the sdcard
copy recovery image to the sdcard
and use the command flash_image recover
and i got my phone working

ok so that means you have stock recovery. do that again power on the phone into recovery and when you see the "!" with the triangle you need to open your keyboard and hold alt and press L than some words will appear... now hold alt and press w! that will reset your phone
