Thanks. Do I need to enter those everytime I reboot? Why don't they include this as a script with the rom.
nope, just write it inside build.prop (/system) at the bottom

I am not seeing the honey theme ether and I did a wipe before installing.I did not see the GFX HDPI honey theme in the theme Manager? I wiped and then flash the latest COS 0516.
Is there anything I am missing?

# getprop | grep jit
[dalvik.vm.execution-mode]: [int:jit]
[persist.sys.jit-mode]: [int:fast]
dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:fast
Hi,
I've disabled jit in COS-Settings, but when I look at properties :
dalvik.vm.execution-mode is still jit.Code:# getprop | grep jit [dalvik.vm.execution-mode]: [int:jit] [persist.sys.jit-mode]: [int:fast]
If I add
in /data/local.prop then the property is int:fast as excepted.Code:dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:fast
Something wrong ?
can this rom be used from RA recovery? everytime i install clockwork it screws wit my phone and i usually have to do bunch of stuff to get it workin again... i hate clockwork (not hate but im not fond of it) but wanna mess with this rom.. will it be possible?
the kernels im using already support ext4 alone, now the journal is useless simply cause the data(which is often changed) is on /data, having journal on sd-ext where dex and apks are stored makes no sense but slows things down.
Oh, one more thing...
Has anyone else noticed that adding an icon to the home screen causes the home screen no longer to accept moving or removing of any icons? This early morning I added an app icon to my home screen that was already there because I didn't notice it was already there and now I can't do anything with any of the icons on the home screen such as moving or deleting them. I also don't get that cool popup menu if I longpress-and-release them.
Thanks
You probably locked the desktop in the ADW desktop menu.
As far as the slowing down then rebooting when updating from market, I haven't had the rebooting lately, but I still get the massive slowdowns.
how do i install this?
recovery?
i installed it via recovery and its just stuck at the first boot screen.
any help?
I read several threads -- skimming a lot, but still stopping to reread when there was a hint of something important. I decided to jump in.
QUESTIONS, so I can understand (and knowing these would have helped me make the jump sooner, so maybe they'll help others):
- So, as I can understand, this is a kernel that requires a radio of 2.22.27.08 or newer, so the 2.22.28.xx series is simply a newer radio, not necessarily a bad one for the ROM, right?
- And as for the SPL, I've read a few threads, but I must have missed why the 1.33.0013d (S-ON!!) is better than 1.33.2005 (S-OFF). Seems the version number and the S being OFF would mean it's newer/better, but apparently it is not? I realize the 0013d is a hack of the MT3G SPL, but then, so was 2005, wasn't it?
- Does a kind of changelog exist somewhere that I might have missed that would explain what the differences are in the SPL and Radio that we can read up on them and not be so noobish? I don't consider myself a noob, and have been flashing custom ROMS since January 2009 (earlier, on other devices), and when I come to stuff like this and can't find answers, I feel like I've missed out on something painfully obvious somewhere.

A not quite so perfected SPL
1.33.0013d is based on the new 1.33.0013 released in the MT3G ota and allows access to the additional memory provided by the new radio. The original SPL however was very unfriendly to the Dream; and being a perfected SPL left quite a bit to be desired.
