[I9003]Galaxy S2 voice controls - Updated 21 July 2011

Find attached the galaxy s2 voice command application (much talked and advertised by samsung).

Instructions:

1. unzip the file
2. Copy the apk in /system/app to /system/app
3. Copy the lib files from /system/lib to /system/lib
4. Reboot the phone (if required) else the application will be displayed at the end of the list

ENJOY !!

PS: i have used root explorer to copy the files

Requirements:
1. your phone should be rooted
2. I am using DDKB2 non deodexed

Backup your data as i will not be responsible for any loss

21 July 2011 - Updated voicetogo apk file with all options enabled and s2 icons. Remove the previous version and install the updated version.
This is an apk; copy the same to sdcard or external sd card and install as normal application. It should work on any firmware

i tried but lost my IMEI

service center got it back

I am happy with this one so thinking of sticking with it till 2.3 arrives or something major happens

how about the META-INF folder in the attch zip file, do we need to copy it to somewhere..?

No buddy dont copy that just copy the file from the system app/app and lib to system libs/libs

I loved the video with the british guy, ROFL. "Ey Galaxeh", Made me LOL. But I was amazed at the algorithm used for the S2. Hopefully SGSL has the same with the upcoming update. I heard G+ will be integrated aswell.

Voice commands work in XXKP9, Just not the Voice talk. It hangs up after it asks "What would you like to do?"

And it's a tad bit laggy

But after a few launches the voice command stops, And the window doesn't pop up. Enragefist.

doesnt work still..........after i launch my phone vibrates a couple of times and the app window crashes.

Try launching using widgets. And yeah its pretty glitchy

Please dont install the rar file. Download and install the apk file.

I have tested this on both deodexed and non deodexed DDKB2 ROM (Froyo not GB)

I did, I used the APK for GB to test it out. Works fine. When you install and run it, Its damned slow and lags hard. But after a reset. It works twice, After which the voice command window stops popping up, there's no sound aswell. But the green icon on top react's when you shout out "Hey Galaxy" although it works only 6/10 times.

This is because of difference in british, american and indian ascent

You cant change that.
Besides i havent tested this on GB; hence feedback on GB is appreciated.

LOL. Accent wise, I tried fail British like the video, Didn't work

, Tried with my built in father accent, Indian accent well, most of it was like "Abbey yaar hai galaxy! Tere m---"

, American accent worked a bit. I wanna know how that guy got the phone to respond to "Ey Galaxee" it's so much better than "HI GALAXY"..Sounds like barbie...

I am stuck at the voice talk screen
the green LED is not blinking
It is STUCK there
cannot click any screen buttons
nothing works

widget is working
but nothing is happening

Voice Commands Works fine
messages works

But I need To Know About the wakeup (Unlock) on saying "Hi Galaxy"

Yeah, The LED tends to hang, You need to force close or reset for it to work again, Its a 2/5 chances that the voice command window will pop up for Voice talk. Sad

Guess the compatibility with the algorithm isn't that stable yet for GB users. And nope, The thing about the wakeup works only when the app is open. They mentioned in the app that it was quite the battery drainer seeing that it uses Wi-Fi aswell. 5% of battery was drained in 9-10mins of usage. That's pretty harsh.
