Yes you can install froyo ROM if you've custom-recovery installed
but the problem is that froyo is more unstable than gingerbread [CM7.1]
I'd suggest you install over-clocked kernel on CM 7.1 it might work better than before.
Reply with your results. :)

Thanks

Where do I get the overclocked kernel for CM 7.1 ?

I am a n00b.. Help much appreciated..

BTW now I am on CWM 6.1 froyo rom with the MB300..
What I observed is with Froyo the MB300 has more free memory than with GB rom..
Using Tango and Nimbuzz I dont get reboots.. But video is not working on Tango.. Could be firmware or memory issue ?
Also how can I get Flash installed for MB300? I dont find it on market.. Tried different markets with Enabler but still no Flash..
Maybe I am missing something..

Thanks again for the help

WOW!!! REALLY??? How lucky are we that i stumbled in here..... DO NOT USE THAT OC KERNEL!!!! OC for cm7 is BUILT IN.. and working. Settings>CMsettings>performance. Go play with the dragons.

EDIT.... For All those looking for flash... look hard, cause i havent found it. there's some arm6 flash 10.1 out there that works..eh. if its running of the sd (ext3/4)... actually thats a little less than fair. it works well for flash apps such as tinyshark but usually crashes when trying to run larger flash in the browser. There's also the puffin browser... which i HIGHLY recommend. Its about time someone made skyfire do some WORK. Puffin may very well be the best $1 you ever spent on your phone. remember where ya heard it. =D

Thanks to warn us abt the OC kernel for NOT installing in CM7.1 and we are aware that Cyanogen has their own over-clockin' settings.

n well amitheunlimited just posted it here to get all the resources in one place. :)

This is a forum where we all developers try to collect global resources and test on our devices to seek BEST performance from our gadgets. Please be kind to everyone else, and if you've tested the kernel please let us know the flaws.
