Hello

As you know, locked SEMC Android devices now can be unlocked by SETool software.

The adventages of SETool unlocking:

Unlock SIM for any carrier
Unlock Bootloader and enable fastboot without mess with DRM data (SEUS updates still works)
Easy testpoint process no need disassembly the phone. Just need a piece of wire for a bridge.

You need to know that SETool is a paid software and needs a special hardware (dongle) to be able to use, also even if you have the SETool dongle you need to buy 5 SETool server credits to unlock Android phones.

I can offer to anyone who wants to unlock the bootloader & sim and don't have SETool box my dongle to connect remotely so you don't need to buy any special and expensive hardware.

ALL PROCESS ITS MADE BY ME VIA REMOTE CONTROL, YOU ONLY NEED TO ATTACH AND DETACH THE PHONE WHEN NEEDED

First, need to download this files:

After connect the remote dongle you will be able to run SETool Software and look like this:

There is a log from a identify option with an LT15 connected.

The unlocking process is easy to do.

First, after install USB Flash drivers, same as flashtool and select corect settings on setool just click on Unlock/Repair button and connect the phone in flash mode (with back key pressed)

Second, this message will appear:

DETACH USB CABLE FROM PHONE
REMOVE BATTERY FROM PHONE
ATTACH TESTPOINT
PRESS "READY", THEN ATTACH USB CABLE TO PHONE

Now we detach the cable and remove the battery and attach the testpoint with a piece of wire like in this pictures:

Now hold on the testpoint and connect the cable to the phone again and press ready on SETool, a new hardware will be detected. Install the drivers.

When you see:

PROCESSING ...
REMOVE TESTPOINT NOW, THEN PRESS "READY"

release the testpoint bridge and if you want remove the wire from negative pin and press READY button and you will see this:

PLEASE ATTACH TURNED OFF PHONE NOW
PRESS AND HOLD "BACK" BUTTON ...

After this you need to connect the phone again in flash mode (back key pressed)

When you see this:

RUNNING S1_LOADER VER "R4A062"
LOADER AID: 0001
FLASH ID: "002C/00B3"
LOADER VERSION: "R4A069"

FINALIZING ...
Unlock DONE

Your bootloader and sim are unlocked and fastboot enabled.

Can anyone confirms this works with the Play? the test point on the Play looks to be in a different place as there is no sticker and the sd card is right next to the sim slot on the Play?

Yes it works

The testpoint is different. The pics are from my Arc but the testpoint in play is in other place but easy aswell

Where is the test point on the Play? it could be anywhere!?

I don't have my pc right now but if you download the SETool software posted there is a picture on /docs

I know but i'm trying to run the software now but it just gives an error, what dongle is needed?
Is there any clearer instructions anywhere as it doesn't say the exact setup, what the teamviewer software and usb-over-network-client is for, what do we do with them?

No, it clearly says at the top that it's done remotely via software.

Going to give this a shot in the morning. Alejandrissimo, could you clarify the bit about the testpoint? From what I'm seeing, you're just connecting two contacts. Why would I need a wire for this as opposed to say... a screwdriver?

dongle for setool is provided remotely.

you need wire because you have to connect both gnd and testpoint.

tp on play is under the sticker under battery.

Yes, same method, but without dongle, only credits and USB cable.

You have to contact OP for dongle providing.

Do you know where we can buy credits in bundles of less than 30 or will one person have to buy 30 and sell the surplus?

For those wondering, 30 credits works out at about 90 USD or 15 USD for an unlock if you can buy 5.

I am open to correction.
