CM9 alpha or ics does not have built in controls on lock screen. We will probably see that in the night build of CM9. As for the music App. It should be there its just that it looks like the one from old GB. I will probably try to change it the next release. Hopefully koush updates his ics build. ;)

I have to disagree there Mark.

I pulled the Music.apk from Koush's CM9 A11 build and replaced that with yours and I have lockscreen music controls now :)

Same as with mathkid95's kernels and rom packages. This rom is polluted with unnecessary files...

Code:
$>unzip -l ~/Downloads/NMV11.19.zip *~ *.DS_Store

very nice
For me, this is the fastest ics rom out :D

Is there the possibility of adding widgets in the notification bar?

THanks

Rohan / frutelaken, the volume keys don't work when the screen is locked or if the Music is playing in the background. In the latter case, it does not work as the volume key (unfortunately in all ICS builds I know) controls only the phone volume when media is in the background.

Thanks Mark ... will take out Tags.apk. Again, the Exchange does not seem to work ... force closes. Went back got the "EmailGoogle.apk" & "ExchangeGoogle.apk" from kwiboo's V3 rom and it works fine.

Things I miss:
a) Really miss the power controls in the notification area that was there in the GB roms :( Anyway to get those back in the there?

b) MV 1.XX.XX styled lock screen. Can someone tell me how to switch the phone to silent other than by using the volume keys?

c) Incompatibility of CalWidgets. Anyone know how to fix it? Saw in some other thread to download spareparts from the market and use compatibility setting ... tried it on MV2.11.26, but was not lucky :(

d) Incompatibility of Launcher Pro :( ... works by itself, but I add Launcherpro widgets and it crashes ... from that point on, it will crash continuously. Only way out is to never use launcherpro widgets.

e) Anyone knows how to get the app drawer to scroll vertically instead of horizontally?

f) Lockscreen agenda

hehe, thanks for that reply climhz, but was looking for something like swiping some kind of icon on the screen or in the notification area :)

Thanks anyway!

Tap the - volume button( this will show the volume level at screen), then touch the volume icon that appears on screen. This changes settings to vibrate. To silent mode you have to press again the - volume button after changing to vibrate mode...

Don't worry, it's a safety measure implemented by Google;

That's weird actually, I figured all the WiFi issues were fixed by Kwiboo's patch. Have you tried applying that? Are you sure you did the full monty wipe (system, boot, data)?

Paparesee, I'm sure your application issues will be addressed to by their developers wen ICS gets more common (CalWidget, Launcher Pro).

I'm a bit disappointed by the standard ICS lockscreen. I was hoping more customization options and notifications on-screen (I'm anti-iOS but I like this particular feature) and I also miss my swipe to vibrate :(

I don't think the App drawer will be customizable, I don't think it was on stock GB either? Will have to wait for some new Launcher implementations to pop up.

The thing I miss the most in ICS are the extra options on the power off dialog. I know it was only implemented by Cyanogenmod, but it was so goddamn handy to directly boot into recovery or do a restart. I'm confident it'll come back soon though :)

Failed with ICS, kept getting tts stopped errors, couldn't get my google account to sync, etc. Was really hoping to keep ICS but it reminds me of why I don't use alpha software.

After using this ROM for a few hours last night and all of today it's definitely stable enough to get a taste of ICS. All the basic functions worked for me: WiFi, GPS, Camera, Internet Browser, Text, E-mail, etc...it's just a still a bit rough around the edges with some quirkiness. But, that's to be expected at this stage. My main problem is getting used to ICS. Like, why did they have to swap the yes/no pop-up button locations? I am so used to hitting the left button to confirm my choice that I kept cancelling everything because cancel is now the left button.

Anyways, nice work with this ROM Mark but I am going back to some MV-GB goodness for now. I know I have only used ICS for a day and half, but for the most part I really am not a fan of the changes Google has made the OS. Blackhole WP is cool though.

i think the changes are really cool its just that you have to compare that to GB instead of CM7 because CM7 is full of features so... yeah, you lost all that when you move to ICS. but from GB-> ICS then obviously, its a lot better. :)

i agree with you on the right button confirm. happened to me when i first used alpha 11 when i denied root explorer root permissions. lame. haha.
