[SETTINGS & QUESTION] CM Color tuning, post question and settings here

Ok, i started this thread to discuss about new CM9 feature: the color tuning
The feature, with build 14, has become mature and then here we can share our best settings
Remeber that screens aren't all the same so colors can varie from phone to phone, but generally there aren't much difference
Please use this thread only for CM color question
The general cm9 thread is here
All other question will be ignored

so far i'm using

Red 0.917
Green 1
Blue 0.944

red gamma 11
green gamma 12
blue gamma 11

Setting must be with this format

Red
Green
Blue

Red gamma
Green gamma
Blue gamma

but i'm not 100% satisfied, so i'm working to get better possible

hi there...before i start fiddling with it..can u help me understand what each slider do?
Also..right now the CM colors are perfect but there is a lot of noise in darker pictures how can i correct it without making the overall picture yellowish?

First slider's series concern rgb adjustement, the second change the gamma of each color
I'm trying to understand how it works properly
With these adjustment you can mix red,green and blu and try to have best looking possible color
If you set all color t same setting would be few useless, we must try differents level to have acceptable black and white, which are the extreme opposite colors
Maybe someone can help faster than me

As I wrote in the CM9 General thread, your settings look amazing erto90.

I tried messing around myself but I don't have the eye for this stuff.

Ok thanks, but i opened the thread to share our settings
I've reached my settings after 15m of trying but i think we can do better!
So, guys, share best settings you can!

So messing around again with this, I just put gamma to 20 on all colors, using the color settings in OP, and I am really liking it.

Edit:

Red gamma 11
Green gamma 15
Blue gamma 11

Looks good too.

All at 20 became a bit weird after using it for a while.

My settings for yellow tinted screens such as mine.

That's made to avoid the green bug at minimum darkness and to try to keep acceptable dark greys.
Sure it's still quite saturated but anything with more gamma turn the grey too bright...
Though I have to say it's better than Voodoo hack, perhaps because the MDNIE are disabled (they lighten the greys and turn them red on Samsung roms).

i have new settings.
they are really better but when the brightness is low they look a little bit greenish, maybe kernel issue.

(it says it´s display post-processing) ..is anyone using it?? ..and what mode do you use?

It's a kind of filter that boosts particular colours, quite like digital vibrance on your PC video card.
I don't like this, it gives more banding and tint in the dark greys.

Thanks, I´ve tried all 4 modes, and the best one is UI mode

..I´ll see how it looks on games, movies, pics etc..

Yeah they look just as good, but unfortunately I run at low brightness more often that not and the green tint is a deal breaker. Gonna play with it and see if I can eliminate or at least reduce it. Thanks again.

just would like to share my settings
(because I love voodoo color, so, my setting is nearly the same with voodoo color)

great color, great red, great green, great blue.

Blue 0.949

Reg Gamma -15
Green Gamma -15
BLue Gamma -18

if you have suggestion, you can tell me..

I used voodoo color back at gingerbread and this settings are pretty close to me..
Give this settings a try.
