Can anyone advice how I can donate using my credit card aside from using paypal? I've been trying to sign up but it wont honor my contact numbers for some reason. It just keeps telling me "number not formatted properly", even when i've affixed the country's code...

wow...wow...wow...!!! Its awsom...!!! Many people have donated. I think till now people have donated 70-90 $. Really heartly thanks to them. Today I will be little busy with job interview so I will update OP with exact details of donated amount till evening.

I have traveled half way across the city to reach the place where used phones are sold . They are quoting quite high even for used phones. It's around 12-13k INR. A new one costs 17k INR so I don't think its appropriate to get a used phone especially when the cost difference is not much.
I have come across a used phone which was damaged quite bad. It had a broken volume rocker and the usb port is damaged. Surprisingly, It had CM9 installed. The shopkeeper was selling it cheap because of the damages and he had mentioned that the camera and video recording doesn't work on that phone (CM9 issues) . It was quite cheap at 7.5k, but since it was damaged, I had to let go.

I wouldn't buy a phone in a shop. I have been changing my phone all this years changing in the internet, selling and buying and the experience told me that shops only are a business, they won't sell a phone in a right price allways, more expensive than what it should be.
Search in the internet for a phone in your area or near, to have lower transport costs, this is my advice.

i am a SPECIALIST in 2nd hand cell phones..
i hv got quite a loott of links in and around delhi..
i can arrange an sl.. in 2 hrs..
ranging between 12k-14k...(ranging 2-3 months old)
anyone either vishal or dhiru pm me...i my self dnt knw how long i will use dis device..though i got mine for 14000rs and its just 27 days old..

I think Dhiru will be right person to decide that whether he want a brand new device or an old phone just 2-3 months. Personally I think that old phones always have some problems which sometime create problem in development. But if device is in perfect condition then I really dont have any problem - Status

31Okay guys! I am really delighted. I finally got the device. Thanks to everyone who has donated. I am really thankful to everyone especially to vishal who took this initiative. I promise I will make every single penny count.
The device is brand new. It has costed 18450/- INR. It would have come cheaper, but the stock of the device was limited, so I had to wait for atleast a week which I didn't think was necessary for few hundred bucks.23Hre we go guys. I am back guys with another donation thread Like Ganesh said I will also not use fantasy words for donation thread. My request is very simple that if u donate today you will definitely get a good return tomorrow. Now very good talented developer gm007 is also going to stop the MIUI development so its like an emergency for our phone development. We must now find some good developer who can actually implement ICS & bring good development for our phone. Till now I have seen three developers who have full capability to implement ICS on phone i.e. one is DOOMLORD who can develop perfect ICS kernels, second is codeworkx & third is DHIRU who can develop ICS based cm9 rom
Now only DHIRU dont have a device with him so its really very difficult to a complicated cm9 rom without phone. I got some request regarding starting a donation thread for DHIRU. So I decided to take initiative for such a good cause
So guys first I want to know that how many people are actually ready to donate a small amount as per their capability. Please mention ur name, country & donation. If there are sufficient number of people then we will start actual donation Also I want some help from luiseteyo to get some donation from spannish forum member also.
