You know your Brother is rooted when he spends allot of money on acne lotion but never owned a PS3. (there might be other reasons)
You know your Mother is rooted when "Better Housewifes" suggest it as a common household trick in one of their publications.
You know your Boss is not rooted because lets be honest without Siri he would not even know how to check the weather.
and last but not least,

You know your rooted when you are constantly refreshing the development section of your device waiting for the next update of a rom, instead of doing work or something productive

You know your rooted when you have no ads and get furious when using a phone with ads
