I think that this changelog belongs to LG P990's V20Q firmware and not our LG P970. Source: link
Is P990's V20Q identical to P970's V20Q?

If this is the change log and it's correct, I would really love to give it a try... Someone installed the firmware and could confirm that GTalk has Video Chat implemented? (It's easy to spot if the changelog it's true, I don't care about video Gtalk)

Changes, Fixes... observed till now

The above mentioned change log is definitively not for the v20Q from the P970.

Here my observations:

Bugs fixed:

+ Fixes bug which make it difficult to auto connect to a WiFi without the transmission of SSID
+ Fixes de delay of activation of the microphone by taking an incoming call

Bugs known in all v20 (GB) and still present:

- LED key lights still without attenuation and loss of notification with touch key lights
- „wlan_rx_wake“ bug. Excessive battery consumption with WiFi constantly on and connected (its seems to appear only in combination with few routers). It leads to a consumption of 4-8% of battery per hour. The process “wlan-rx_wake” wakes up the processor in 40% of the total time, with high CPU activity.
- Music player still arrange in a wrong manner the albums
- The compass still not work in maps in ver. 6 and up.
++ NEW bugs not detected!

Other changes:

+ LG launcher seems to work with more fluidity
+/- Google+ now included in Rom
+/- Google Music removed
- Key vibration is now too light, is hardly perceivable.

Battery consumption: No changes to the others v20

Benchmark result still the same as with the others v20 versions:

Quadrant: approx. 1200 Antutu: approx. 2500 (without test SD)

Of course this list can’t be complete due this job is normally to do from the programming institution, in this case LG.

Can someone please make a rooted and flashable V20Q?

Its not a zip, but a nanbackup, look here (all credits to VictorMun):

http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=390730

Todo:
-copy the carpet "2012-05-29.23.51.44" in the carpet in the SD "clockworkmod"
-in recovery make the necesery whipes like for any other rom
-CWM restore of the carpet "2012-05-29.23.51.44"
-restart

-after restore and restart: install busybox from the market (gplay)

Could you please check if we (P970) got the SIP functionality in the Call settings? That'd be really nice.

Nothing, that could be SIP. The first changelog of this thread ist shure not for the P970.

I see, thank you. Though I was thinking that pulling out some parts from the P990 v20Q wouldn't work for us? Meaning ie. the Phone.apk for the SIP calls, the ArcCamera.apk for the fixed brightness recording, and maybe the gtalk.apk for videochat.

I don´t think that this is so easy like replacing the .apks. The drivers, libreries ... have to support this features. Regarding SIP, there are a lot of good SIP apps with extraordenary futures and a great stability, some of them open source, so I don´t need to have it in the rom.

Gtalk I don´t use it. "Fixed brightness" while videorecording is allredy present in the v20Q, but is this a new feature? Only set the brightness manually, thats all.

My problem with external SIP apps, is many of them (like Sipdroid or CSipSimle) randomly keeps my screen awake, and in addition they take extra RAM compared to a built-in feature.

I'm not quite sure about the fixed auto brightness, I only assume, that the minimized light level in auto brightness mode is now gone while recording a video, and it's working properly. At least that's what I'd hope for based on the P990 changelog. Figured it has/had the same problems as us.

I hoped too bro, I too, that the v20Q for P990 would be the same. But now I only hobe, that we get a changelog for this rom ;-)

PS: Csipsimple don´t cause a turn on of the screen on in my case. I have read that the build in Sip cuases problems, but I agree it wouldn´t be bad. Build in Sip also consumes RAM, maybe less.

Btw did we get a change log from LG after releasing v20o? Just cause I can't recall that either.
