Well this is interesting. Smoothest by far for me out of speedmod, siyah, and neak. I know by your admission this highly leverages several of them, but I like it. Also back to low battery and wake lock which the others struggled with. (I know I know, wake lock is typically apps, but switching back and forth each night over the last five days confirmed in my mind at least that this kernel has less)

Yours is most sensitive to uv. Freezing abound at even moderate uv for me when all the kernel above were happy.

Thank you

Here are my first impressions of Shun Andromeda 1.8 => http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=27855214&postcount=179

Benchmark and night use battery test results in the OP of my thread => http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=26775950

I got the "slow-motion" bug twice in about 19 hours of running this kernel.
This was my first experience with this issue.
Try to finish my tests, but had to abort the last mixed usage battery test.

Anybody else having the slow-motion bug with this kernel version?

To avoid the slow motion bug try an other governor than conservative or ondemand ;-)

What other Governor can I use for optimum battery and performace on this kernel because I had about 3 slow motion bugs/freezes during media playback yesterday

---------- Post added at 01:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:10 PM ----------

Another bug.
When I set up WIFI-hotspot, It deactivates itself after some time like say 45 mins.
It has happened about 4 times in 2.5hrs now.
I'm using version 1.8 of this kernel

Flashed v1.8 yesterday. So far so good. No issue found.

Came from Siyah v3.3.2 which crashed once every few days.

Thanks for the great kernel.

Just met the "slow motion" bug. The phone struggled for a about 30 sec and then turned off. Need to long press the power to restart it.

Using the kernel on a rooted stock rom, DULP9.

Because of that same bug, I've moved to another kernel. I will probably come back later in future.
Good work dev!

What is your current phone? And doesn't your wife like playing with your kernels? :what:

My current phone is a GS3 ;)
My wife is using my GS2 with my kernel but she wants a stable phone :p

Anyway, here is version 2 ;)
I would like to say many thanks to french friends at GalaxyS2.fr/forum who help me to continue my work on Shun and tested this new version.
However, I cannot say everything is completely sure for all GS2 but you can easily reflash an older version if needed.

EDIT : about the slow down issue, I can suggest to use NOOP instead of SIO because I suspect something wrong from a Siyah Merge made 16th of June.
