[ROM] 21.09 Team Venom viperX 2.7.1 - Sense 4.1 | orig. OTA | Tweaks | CPU Control

Two issues noted so far:

1) I've downloaded and applied GuageBattery icon in Tweaks->Status->Statusbar theme support. Then I rebooted my phone, and I wish to download another theme icon, but when I goto Tweaks->Status->Statusbar theme support->Get more, I get error "Unfortunately, Venom Tweaks has stopped". It happens all the time now...even after few reboots and application restart.
edit: VenomHub.apk has to exist in order for it to work was removed previously to clear up my system apps

2) With scrolling wallpaper disabled in Tweaks->Sense, it's a great feature and works fine until I double tap on "Home" button and Home Previews appear like screenshot #1 as attached, then I select the leftmost screen, when it direct me to the leftmost screen, apparently the "static" wallpaper in background is distorted (refer to screenshot #2 and #3 as attached).

Thanks for such a great ROM nevertheless!!

I think there is a little confusion around battery chargings... With LI-ION batteries , it DOESN'T matter how much you discharge it, or charge it, you cannot fully discharge them, or overcharge them. There is a circuit built in the cells, that cuts off the current when it goes down to a predefined level, (in the meantime the battery still has current in it), and the same chip cuts down the charging current when the battery is fully charged, because overcharging li-ion cells destroys them. (even explode in some cases).
In short you cannot affect battery life by discharging or overcharging it, because of the built in electronics. Lythium batteries does NOT suffer from memory effect like older Niccel -cadmium batteries, you can charge it 10 minutes or 10 hours, it doesn't matter. Actually you cannot charge them 10 hours, because the built in chip cut off the charging anyway, when fully charged.

The battery stats is another thing, it tells the OS how the battery is consumed, and only affects the android OS relation to the battery. If it gets miscalibrated and the OS reads wrong consumption statisitics from it, the OS can shut down the phone BEFORE the batteries built in chip. Deleting the battery stats (battery callibration) is forcing the OS to rebuild the battery stats, hopfully with more punctual data.
In short you cannot calibrate the battery, but you can calibrate how the OS uses the battery.

All other hocus -pocuses are urban legends and mainy placebo.... Our battery will uses most of it's capacity in maximum 2-3 years anyway.

reboot when plugged into pc

Just plugged my phone to my pc, checked disk mode and it rebooted??

Never had that before, maybe a 2.05 leak issue?

but correct me if im wrong but the batstats are wiped after every boot and with every ful charge if i charge to full and look @ my usage then that begins to count from zero if i charge it to less then 100% then it keeps counting
look @ this example of previous charging

you see i have not given it a full charge so it keeps counting

I don't know much about battery stats, maybe it is deleted on every reboot in ICS, but I am sure it wasn't deleted when I had the Desire. I had to use Battery calibrator or recovery to delete it...

Use betterbatterystats app to check for wakelocks.

My small knowledge to battety-charging:
LI-ION (e. g. Sensation): doesnt matter when fully discharged.
LI-Poly (1X): dont completely discharge!!!

Battery stats contains the figures used to show the usage history and graphs. Nothing else. It has nothing to do with how much charge the OS thinks is available or how quickly the battery is consumed. It is deleted every time the phone is charged to 100% (and always has been). Deleting the file merely deletes the history since the last full charge, it doesn't 'recalibrate' anything and has no effect on how the OS uses the battery (and never has done).

No, its fine. Don't worry about the scare stories. The battery has a built in mechanism so that the phone will turn off before it truly gets empty. 0% reported doesn't actually mean its empty, just that its at the lowest safe level.

However, it is best to regularly top up if you can but not absolutely necessary or disastrous if you don't.
