I would like to share AjntOrnj work with "Auto Brightness/backlight Settings"

This user has posted a "Spreadsheet Tool" in CM Forums, I'm think it's awesome and very useful in order to setup your own values...and very very easy to see the impact of them.

The post is here (link)

All credit goes to him, I'm only pointing to CM Forums..

By the way, suggested values work great too.

Kind regards

P.D.- I hope he does not get upset by linking here, and I'm breaking any kind of rule....

I had no issues running 1350 on 10/13 or 10/14....should be noted that Cyanogen has moved to the latest kernel with 10/14 (3.0.46)...they were using 3.0.43 before that...the color multipliers have changed in setup too...looks more like Franco's kernel now which isn't a surprise since he uses same kernel.

Its strange that so many people are having issues...I think you guys should do a full wipe since its a new kernel...including formatting system...I did it that way and my phone is working flawlessly at 1350mhz.

You could potentially damage your screen even at 200...it depends on how long you keep your screen on and how bright...I am always using the CM values and have no trouble at all..but I usually keep my screen at 30% brightness...only going higher for minutes when I'm in direct sunlight...keep brightness low and you will not get burn in.

I did not get a table, where I apply the values ... Could you explain?

Or post a screenshot of how it should be setup?

Are you talking about the lock screen weather widget? If so it is working as intended on my handset.

Just tested oc'ing to 1350 and got reboot. Not that I use to oc anyway.

Peace out!

Still rebooting at 1350. On another note, did anyone else notice they reverted back to the 4.1 way of unlocking the phone. 4.1.1 changed it to a faster way of unlocking and now 4.1.2 reverted back to unlocking and quickly drawing the widgets after slide to unlock. I wonder why they reverted back, the 4.1.1 unlock was crazy fast and it kind of disappeared to reveal the screen underneath now its back to the old way of unlocking. Very strange.

1350 instability could be caused by those 2 commits, even those commits should had improved the stability

http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#/c/24707/
http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#/c/24793/

or by the new BFQ scheduler which i think is the default now (before we had the standart CFQ scheduler)
http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#/c/24788/
http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#/c/24787/
http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#/c/24789/

(and i dont see why we should get this BFQ now..)

The default scheduler is still CFQ...just out of cusiosity, did you do a full wipe before installing the 10/15 nightly? I installed it on two phones and have zero issues going to 1350mhz...but I always do full wipe and in addition wipe system/cache/data...everything is working 100% perfect...I think the issues people are seeing is due to the kernel update...but I could be wrong...also, from what I've read, 3.0.46 has a lot of changes in it so remnants of your existing ROM could be causing conflicts.

I always fully wipe before flashing. I was getting the reboots at 1350MHz on 1014 and 1015 Nightlys. I tinkered around a little bit and found that pulling the boot.img from 1013 and using it on the 1015 Nightly it works perfectly. So it is definitely an issue with the new kernel.

I did a full wipe before installing the 10-15 nightly and 1350 causes reboots. It's something in that kernel because I'm running Franco at 1420 and the voltage isn't even as high as the voltage they changed it to. Very weird hopefully it gets fixed soon.

CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

When it's ready and not a moment sooner. And like EddyOS said, do not ask for eta!

Irrc, they're working on a WiFi bug before starting official 10.1 nightlies for our device.

Oh come on. I hate it when everyone starts joyfully repeating: "rule #1, don't ask for eta lalala" yet, you answer what that person was asking. Its OK to ask among ourselves, its not directed to cyanogenmod team.. Besides they barely answer here. Its just asking for others opinion.
I know its a rule but it seems everyone is waiting for someone to ask that forbidden question just to lecture them as teachers.
    Soooo, hope its ready soon.

    CM 10.1 Status Update

    Goodbye mr1-staging. Hello CM-10.1

We are in the process of re-branching our repos as we had originally detailed as part of our initial status update http://goo.gl/6TXme

Gerrit replication of the new branch, aptly named 'cm-10.1' has begun. As this process continues, the corresponding branches will be created on Github.

What does this mean for contributors?

Your patches against mr1-staging, if not merged as of 6pm EST on 12/12/12, will be orphaned. This does not mean they are abandoned, deleted or lost. What it does mean is that you will be required to pull down your patch to your local repos, then push it back up to gerrit against the new 10.1 branch. We advise you hold on this process until replication is completed. We will let you know when that time is appropriate.

What does this mean for end users?

We are nearing the point where nightlies will be enabled on a wider scale, as the device maintainers give their OK. This means you are likely to see builds come out for the Nexus family of devices and others. This new branch is also where our M-Series of 10.1 will originate from. More on that later.

    [MOD] CM10 M1 1% Battery Mod - Circle - Maguro

I love the 1% circle battery mod that I had on my previous ROM and now that I've switched over to CM10 I decided I couldn't do without it.

So I followed this excellent tutorial by powerpoint45

and used these fantastic 1% battery images by evilkal
