Hi,

If I prefer battery life then should I change the gov back to badass?

The new default gov, what is its main purpose? (I.e performance, battery life etc..)

I'm using a build from end of October I think where default gov is badass and there is nothing wrong with my phone (touch wood) so I don't really want to update to a later build but I will eventually so just want to make sure I am using the correct gov.

Many thanks.

I had better antutu benchmark results with build 20121102, than 20121105. I don't know what changed.

At the end of the day, best thing to do is experiment a little ... switch them up and see how they feel, see how their battery usage goes, and then choose whichever suits you best.

Cheers,

Just found a small quirk. When on the homescreen, holding the menu button goes to Google search, the same as a short press on the search button. But when I look in the hard key menu long pressing of the menu button is set to do nothing? It's not a big problem of course, just thought I'd mention it.

Graphics issues with Contract Killer 2

I was previously using ARHD 6.8.0 and had no graphics issue with games.

Now I've switched over to this rom an like it. Apart from some slight freezing issues, it's all good.

My one big issues is when I play games e.g. Contract Killer 2. The graphics have a lot of blur.

Is there any work around?

I have searched but now luck so far....

I too have seen the same drop in score from about 6500 to nearer 4500 over the same builds, I thought it was just me....

However given that I'm really not sure what Antutu actually tests beyond what is shown on the screen or how indicative the results actually are any comment from others more unformed in these matters would be appreciated here too! Even if just to clarify that the scores are good or meaningless! ;)

At the end of the day, with both releases/scores I have been happy with the experience, so this is not a complaint in any way, just a willingness to know more about what I'm using....

Hi Bruce, sorry to pester but which one would you usually include in the ROM by default? I've not tried anything but the default so far?

I'd use the GPU oc one myself, its only oc'd from 266 to 300 so no major difference.

4900 on antutu here with build 05, didn't test 02. maybe you can try single tests and see which one regressed ;)

bruce I see major improvements in Temple Run without the GPU OC when the device starts heating, however the game isn't still so fluid like it should (even when the sensation is still cold). Any clue?

How are you guys getting such low benchmark scores? Every single build of this rom I've tried has always scored 7500-8150 on antutu. 1.78GHz, ondemand governor, even on the kernel without gpu overclock.

    Install notes

A full wipe using 4ext is only required if coming from another ROM.
DO NOT use a superwipe script,
    Install ROM
    Install Gapps
You only need to flash gapps if doing a clean install or if the gappps have been updated.

If you are flashing over a previous build the don't wipe anything, not even cache.

    Kernel features

To enable these you have to edit 'system/etc/init.d/89bruce' with a root explorer. You will also have to reset the permissions of the file to 'rwx r-x r-x' before rebooting.
