I'm running v11.2.1, everything seems to be running great so far but the gallery freezes every time i open it. I did a clean install.

By the way very nice work on your roms, they have been nothing but smooth running for me :)

Did you change the gallery and camera at all? Try clearing cache and data for gallery then fixing permissions in recovery. If that doesn't work then try flashing the Tmo gallery and camera found in the OP.

Its ok to restore apps+data with titanium. Just don't restore system data or system apps because it could cause issues. Kernels can act a little different through multiple devices. When I had frosty on both of my gs3s a couple of weeks ago I noticed that android system was always a little higher on one of them even though they were both setup exactly the same.

I think i saw a post somewhere, go to system/bin/ look for qosmgr, and rename with .bak at the end, then reboot, it will fix the android system thing

What's the multi Window toggle do? Nothing happens when I hit it lol

Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2

Upcoming feature per DJ. The toggle is there in preparation. At the rate he's putting stuff out, it's likely more work than its worth to disable then re enable the toggle when the feature rolls out I'm guessing.

thank you Dj for the response, you should put this in the OP " CUSTOM KERNELS MAY NOT WORK WITH THIS ROM USE AT YOUR OWN RISK " :)
....

Actually, the 2nd post refers to battery issues, kernels, etc. The OP has enough in it without doubling its size. ;)

Besides, common sense (truly not an attack on you man, just a general observation) dictates that if you modify something and it doesn't work as expected and with hundreds of users NOT having the issues... Well, the first thing to check is what's different from the original.

Devs can't post caveats for every situation. We're all advanced users considering what we're doing to our phones. If somethings not right, it's our duty to eliminate possibilities without offloading that responsibility on the one guy giving us the ROM. :)

Ok so I'll fix permissions then when I reboot it just goes into a boot loop. I've had this happen on past versions of this Rom. I fix permissions through Rom manager because when I try doing so in recovery it takes about half a second and says it's finished. I'm using the team win recovery by the way.

So far the best ROM I've used so far and I'm using the I-747 version.

Check md5, full wipe, factory data reset, install rom with matching md5. Once rom boots wait 10 minutes then reboot. This rom installs without a hitch...If its bootlooping retrack your steps and try again.

Completely agree, there are so many mods in these roms now it's hard to tell what is going to conflict when adding your own mods. Best chances if finding problems on your own is to flash the rom your going to use as instructed and let it settle a day or so just to get to a clean base of what it's intended to work by the dev. Back up and flash what you want to try out, there's so many options out there and these devices can be quirky as most know by now you should notice right away what's going wrong. After that's been done and your at a point you can't figure out what others have working post it and explain the process.

To many people skip through to get things going because of impatience and miss key steps to working out what others have worked hard to create and get upset when the device isn't doing what they want. Follow this easy process and you'll get results.

Yeah I do that every time, it only loops when fixing permissions though. It seems to be fine without doing so but I feel like it would run better if I could.

Theres no need to use fix permissions. I have used it with other devices. I have never had to use it on SGS3. Easy fix to your issue....dont use fix permissions! It will run fine by following the OP instructions. Come on bro.

I just come from the good old days of the G1 and the G2, I felt like it was still a necessity but apparently I was wrong. Good to know though, thanks!

    Tips N' Tricks:

*Want more butter? Set animation & duration scales to 0.5x in developer options!

*Anyone having problems with root, open SuperSU and update your superuser binary

*Having trouble setting your frequencies with Xone Kernel? View here...

*If still having battery problems I recommend draining your battery down to 0% and recharge.
-It should help out a lot with the battery drain.

*Be careful!: Popping noise with bluetooth?? Flash to stock kernel!

*Warning!: Ktweaker app fc'ing? Download another app like SetCPU, change the min & max with it, then open ktweaker!

    *Search before you post questions

*DONT and I repeat DONT PM me about issues you have with your phone because you did not read the instructions in the op!!!

*Dont complain about battery life (99% of the time if its bad its user error!)

*If you have kernel questions, post them in the kernels op not here

*Dont complain about issues if you didnt wipe prior to flashing the rom!

*If you have an odd problem try to redownload the rom before posting your problems (download a md5 checker)

*Please stop asking me for ETA's... I try my best to get my roms out in a timely manner. (My internet sucks!)

*Don't kang my work!! I will know if you did and I will expose you! If you would like to use something in my ROM just ask!

    Comments:

seshaz: This ish is about as perfect as it gets.

EclipzeRemix: This is what I go back to for a stock rom experience, keep it up OP

gjkilcrease: BTW, after the v11.2.1, this ROM should be renamed to FrostyJB_4.1.1 AOSP! (Android On Steroids People! ). Couldn't resist the humor because this thing is fast!

akapaul26: Sounds like you have implemented some nice mods into this build! Nice work bro! :good:

Towle: Awesome job on this ROM. Flashed first thing this morning and haven't looked back. Very smooth and stable, absolutely no issues experienced on my end. Battery life is phenomenal. I think I found my permaROM :p

Craniotomy: Damn, i really need to get another S3. Lol.

To all in this thread... the Developer has requested that this thread be closed.

Please all remember, the devs do this for free and out of their love for developing....

....So being rude and poor mannered...... gets you nothing and now you get one less dev to help you with your phone

Keep that in mind when you feel like you have some lame commentary to make...

........To the trolls, rather than complaining...... show us your skills and make a rom for us to critique.......

........oh yeah...... you have no skills other than running yer mouth and flaming a thread....... SMH
