I suspect that goo gave that as upgrade as we are based on cm 10 and cm 10.1 was released. I didn't upgrade when I saw because it appears the rohanb7 kernel doesn't support 4.2 according to notes but that upgrade prolly installs new kernel with its ROM . I thought it wierd there was no posting about jellybam upgrade here ...lol BTW how does 10.1 run?

It was nice lol... camera didn't work.. but that might be normal with that ROM I'm not sure. I was really confused when i got the update..updated and found out I was running cm 10.1 haha

Yes, there is a new kernel for the 4.2 ROMs, like CM10.1. Kernels that are used on 4.1 JB ROMs, like CM10, will not work on anything that is 4.2 based. The 4.2 camera will work on 4.1 based ROMs like this one. The camera in this ROM is the 4.2 camera. It's just that the camera doesn't work(yet) on any ROMs that are based off of 4.2 JB. I'm sure it will work soon, the devs just need to figure out what kernel changes they need to make to get it working. It was the same thing when they first started putting out 4.1 AOSP ROMs. There were plenty of camera issues but they all got resolved and now the camera works great. I'm not really sure how much sense I just made but hopefully that helps explain it somewhat.

The easiest way to think about it is like this, at least for me.The kernel basically handles all the communication between the applications and the hardware. That's really the basic function of the kernel. There's way more to it, that is way above my head. If you're interested wikipedia can explain it somewhat. I'm sure one of the kernel devs could explain it better as well.

I see on JellyBams Facebook that they have released an update to 4.2.1 for the n7000(?)... Question is, when will we see it?

I know and understand that this rom is on MANY phones, just curious is all. Dude is a beast for being able to have such a stable rom on so many devices :good:

Try loading it, the screen will flash white couple times at rocket is normal. If you don't flash boot IMG it will constantly flash white screen. You should be good to go now but you shoulda wipe system data . If you are no go then repeat wipes and reinstall.
