If I get time over the weekend I was thinking of running some quadrant tests with my rom (black cna resurrection v1.2) and flashing a different kernel retesting for a few kernels (ROM kernel, hcn-n4,hcn-n5) then upgrading to v1.3 and repeating.
Is this useful and does anybody have ideas/advice?
As after all benchmarks are just swanking but it may give useful info on comparative rims for people. (and like I said IF I get the time.)

Edit: also governor/scheduler combo. I won't be testing performance as this way it's more natural. (was thinking ondemand/noop or cfq and pegasusq/sio)

Benchmark is to know the efiiciency of the processor at different timings and with different usage. So it not for all to know. Because most people dont use enough resource of their phones. But for those looking for an app spec compatibility. Benchmarks for devicea are needed. So u wont get the app which is not compatible on your phone.

Lower the running apps. Cut ur apps as much as you can and try to close all unused apps. Clear internal and external storage. Reboot the system and then try it once again. It will definitely improve and if u want more power search for a kernel that supports overclocking.

Still getting low scores, all under4000(3119 now)...
Do you guys think i can improve it by using the Hydracore Standard instead of the kernel i am using now?
And about the Hydracore w/ overclocking, will this make my battery go to hell?

Quadrant isn't really reliable place to test this things , at least it doesn't show the right scores , Htc one x scores on quadrant with ICS avarage 6000 stock and 6600 custom , with jelly bean goes up to 7000-7100, i know this cuz i own both devices and my hox never went below 5800 stock, now with jb custom rom goes up to 6900-7000 , with OC goes over 7200

As for antutu goes avarage 15500 - One X and around 9500 note

Try Hydracore v4.3b OC, for me it is the best kernel for stock/custom tw ics roms, and the battery life is also very good.
My opinion for battery draining is not cpu related (of course it is if you push it to max all time) but it is screen on time which eat battery a lot. 35%cpu - 65%screen my opinion:D
Hydracore also have step to 100Mhz while in deep sleep, so if you dont have wakelocks, your battery will be good with this kernel.

And if you dont like this kernel, you can easily flash speedmod back, it is not SF :cyclops:

Compare and show us resluts;)

franco r5 is working on Liquid smooth
coz i saw in Frano's post that suggests not booting on AOSP & liquid smooth is AOSP right

Liquid smooth is the weird situation where its both asop and able to work with speed mod and Franco etc
