From my experience, just light use over 3-4 days and it will level out. By light i mean only using when need be. You have to give the system time to level it out

Also dont reboot at if u dont have to

Awesome! Getting a full 7sats for gps! I use to get 2 and it got wonky sometimes.

I play ALOT of Ingress and this is great.

You don't need a nandroid restore. The temboot means that you are only running EL29 till the next boot. After you got a GPS fix, just reboot and you will be back in the ROM you flashed the temboot from.
Also pretty new with this - but that's what I remember how it worked for me ...
Good Luck!

Managed to get the EL29 tempboot successfully, updated profile, PRL and got a solid GPS lock. Then did a quick & dirty flash of 2/15 over 2/8. GPS still locks promptly. (14 secs, last test) No joy with the pattern lock however. Reading other posts about pattern lock issues, I cleared mine before flashing. Can't set one now, just repeats the pattern size selection. Not a huge issue, set to PIN.

Don't have any solid info on battery life yet as I've not charged fully. But the temp charge seems to be draining much slower than the 2/8 build.

Thanks for the tempboot tip, it was hugely helpful.

To the Dev: Awesome ROM, thanks for your efforts. If logs or dumps will be helpful, I'm happy to upload.

ps: Mobile Odin is SO worth it. :D

Oh god, Battery life appears to be the best I've experienced yet on any rom. Also the SPEED. Wow, I did a full wipe of everything, completely clean like I said before, with a new modem, and omg it's SO FAST.

I don't even feel like I want a new phone right now... gps locks in 4 seconds or less every time.

Seriously amazing, when my battery dies tomorrow night, I'll post a picture.

Going to go for a record.

Let me preface with compliments - I love this ROM and this build has, for the most part, been phenom.

However, with the last few builds I've used, I've ran into some issues. I've previously had long periods between updates and thus never really worried much about a number things since I tend to wait until things are stable. Now that everything doesn't get completely wiped and lost with every update, I'm more prone to trying iterations as I notice their release. Unfortunately, I don't do a complete backup as often as I should, and now I'm in a bit of a bind. What I'd like to do is a complete fresh install. Wipe virtually everything and start from a clean install. How is this possible at this point in time? What is my best method for this?

For what its worth, the issue I'm running into: every so often while using the phone, the screen blacks out and the phone shuts off (this is a daily issue at this point, and has happened 3 times today). When I turn the phone back on, I typically get just past the CM boot logo and when my screen loads, it will shut itself back down, almost as if it thinks the battery is dead or something. I cannot bypass this problem until I provide a power source (removing the battery does not fix it), and then have to wait until the battery charging icon shows up until I can successfully boot the phone and return to using it.

It's happened when using email, browser, facebook, pandora...so I can't tie it to a single app that's crashing it, is why I'm thinking it's possibly due to a lack of a clean install for a long time. Any help?

I tried asking Dastin and got no reply...

Is there a way to make a boot script for after installing a new update to remove a couple of system apps and add a new one?

I am trying to remove SuperUser.apk Apollo.apk and replace Apollo.apk with the newest version on my sdcard.

Anyone know a way to create a script to do this? or do I have to edit the zip of the rom to remove this stuff?

Anyone? I guess if no reply this time then no one here knows how to do this...

Make a flashable zip of an init.d file that does it. Why would you replace Apollo? Apollo gets compiled with the ROM with the latest updates.

I believe it comes with SuperSU instead of superuser. You can always just un-install Apollo and install the newest version once you are all set up. Use titanium backup to do so.

Y do u want to do something so complicated...there are two more simple options...the first is open the rom zip file.on ur computer (don't unzip it just open it) and replace the old apks with the new ones located in the system app folder and then put the rom package on ur phone and flash that...or the second way which is easier to do is put the new apks u have in a folder on ur phone that is easy to remember...use root explorer copy the apks u have into the system apps folder change the names to the apks u replaced fix permissions and reboot your phone

Well that's weird... randomly reboots and I get a major drop in battery life. Any ideas?

Running 2/15 build. Glad GPS is finally working! Just have to go to settings > location settings for it to work. Doesn't work when you toggle it unfortunately! No big deal haha

Just let the battery die out and charge it fully. Problem goes away.

Is there anyway to make the wifi and 4g act the way the stock ROM does? It's where when the wifi is off, it automatically connects to 4g. Then, if 4g is not being used, it goes into sleep until you use it again.

I had the same problem, and asked in this thread... It might actually be your battery.

When you get a chance, pull the battery out, put it on a flat surface, and try to spin it. If it spins, it's swollen, and you need a new one.
