No its not NEEDED per se, but usually if someone uses an app like CPUTuner or SetCPU to modify voltages or governors then the selected gov will be written in place of mpdecision. All mpdecision does is overwrite your second cores gov with userspace ondemand. It forces your CPU1 (that's your second core) to max MHz when bringing your phone out of sleep... That's ALL it does. It is not a hotplugging file its just a vendor executable script that overwrites your governor. Its not necessary and I have been deleting it on all of my Samsung phones/roms since I had my OG Epic. It seems to be something with ondemand governor only because any other gov I've tested hasn't had this problem. Not only that but we have dual core phones so I don't understand why people still refuse to use a hot plugging governor. If you like ondemand pegasusq is ondemand based made by Samsung. Msm-dcvs is hot plugging too made by Qualcomm also on demand based and there are many more out there standard ondemand had no hot plugging and will run both cores evenly whether you need them or not
What you know 'bout wearing a wolf on ya noggin?
so what do u think the best governor would be to get the cpus to goto sleep on leankernel and stock?
I'll try re flashing using KT747 but I can say neither mcm nor ondemand on LK takes my second core offline.
Exit: success! Second core goes offline using ktoonservative only. Will not hot plug with any either governor.

hmm
same behavior with stock TW. i'll try quickpic though obviously that shouldn't be necessary.
edit: tried quick pic too, again, didn't work. just cropped the image as a square w/ black border and resaved it. for what it's worth, using nova launcher. clean flash, build 12, never had a problem with lockscreen wp before
your gonna need to clear your defaults and use the stock gallery
I updated to 12 did a full wipe and now my wifi won't turn on. Any ideas why, active else having this issue?

did u get the finished screen in aroma? sometimes it cuts out and doesnt finish the install which would make the wifi modules not install :/
Having trouble with the lock screen on this, and every other custom ROM. When the device is in landscape mode and phone goes to sleep, the lock screen doesn't activate and when I turn the phone back on its just stuck in landscape mode and I have to pull the battery. Any fixes? I've tried this with every lock screen available, I'd rather not disable auto rotate....

try disableing and enabling auto rotate and then turn off ripple effect..
I'm having the same issues too on both of my s3. How to fix?

above^^
hmmmmmmm i'm wondering if it's the kernel then. can kernel effect data signal and wifi signal? yeah, right? i'm testing a beta kernel for someone so maybe that's it.
kernel definetly could affect this
I don't think you can really messed up anything by flashing whichever modems you want. Just flash and use them every few days. I don't have good reception where I live so I keep the matching base's (obviously VRBLK3 for build) modem loaded. Works when I need it.
If you're flashing just VRBLK3 kernel from the add-on list, your wifi will not work. I don't think it includes the necessary Wi-Fi modules cuz it fails every time when I tried just flashing the stock kernel by itself. Try dirty flashing the rom and choosing the stock kernel and your wifi toggle will work fine again.
Ahh, ok. For me it doesn't change until my brightness is toggled over 50%. I usually keep my screen at about 40% so that's how I notice. Are you saying the toggle doesn't light up once you hit at least toggle it to about 50%?
Edit: I just tried playing with the different settings like auto/100% and mine lights up. I use the 25/50/75/100 brightness toggle. I'm really not sure why yours will not light up.

agreed i borked the stock kernel in op lol if forgot to add the modules to it.. just realized this but the stock kernel in the rom is fine, and i agree i like keeping the kernel and modem matching this is maybe the only time ive had a newer modem to kernel because it helps my signal alot with ma2 modem
I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, so maybe its just me. USB OTG isn't working for me on build 12. Plugging in USB flash drive cause the phone to boot loop immediately. I've made lots of tweaks though so it could be something different. Just wondering if someone can confirm this is a ROM issue before I start from scratch again. I know it worked on previous builds. TIA
try stock kernel thats the only thing i could think of that would mess up otg..
so hows the rom going guys been mia for a cpl days just got some free time to look over the thread and see whats up
