In Handcent, go to settings>Application Settings>Default Messaging application and choose All(SMS & MMS).
You can also check the Thread group conversation at the very bottom of the same Application Settings screen.

BTW, I use the app for emoji as well without requiring another keyboard. My settings are both in Application settings:
1. Emoji encoding settings>iPhone/Softbank(iOS6)
2. Emoji Message Protocol>Always with SMS.
With these settings in place, I have perfect group messaging with attachments of sounds/photos/video/emoji across multi-carriers.

Thank you sir, that did indeed fix my problem :)

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, so maybe its just me. USB OTG isn't working for me on build 12. Plugging in USB flash drive cause the phone to boot loop immediately. I've made lots of tweaks though so it could be something different. Just wondering if someone can confirm this is a ROM issue before I start from scratch again. I know it worked on previous builds. TIA :)

No its not NEEDED per se, but usually if someone uses an app like CPUTuner or SetCPU to modify voltages or governors then the selected gov will be written in place of mpdecision. All mpdecision does is overwrite your second cores gov with userspace ondemand. It forces your CPU1 (that's your second core) to max MHz when bringing your phone out of sleep... That's ALL it does. It is not a hotplugging file its just a vendor executable script that overwrites your governor. Its not necessary and I have been deleting it on all of my Samsung phones/roms since I had my OG Epic. It seems to be something with ondemand governor only because any other gov I've tested hasn't had this problem. Not only that but we have dual core phones so I don't understand why people still refuse to use a hot plugging governor. If you like ondemand pegasusq is ondemand based made by Samsung. Msm-dcvs is hot plugging too made by Qualcomm also on demand based and there are many more out there standard ondemand had no hot plugging and will run both cores evenly whether you need them or not

RErick_zpsf8fdc5d9.png

What you know 'bout wearing a wolf on ya noggin?
so what do u think the best governor would be to get the cpus to goto sleep on leankernel and stock?

I'll try re flashing using KT747 but I can say neither mcm nor ondemand on LK takes my second core offline.

Exit: success! Second core goes offline using ktoonservative only. Will not hot plug with any either governor.

hmm
same behavior with stock TW. i'll try quickpic though obviously that shouldn't be necessary.

edit: tried quick pic too, again, didn't work. just cropped the image as a square w/ black border and resaved it. for what it's worth, using nova launcher. clean flash, build 12, never had a problem with lockscreen wp before
your gonna need to clear your defaults and use the stock gallery

I updated to 12 did a full wipe and now my wifi won't turn on. Any ideas why, active else having this issue?

did u get the finished screen in aroma? sometimes it cuts out and doesnt finish the install which would make the wifi modules not install :/

Having trouble with the lock screen on this, and every other custom ROM. When the device is in landscape mode and phone goes to sleep, the lock screen doesn't activate and when I turn the phone back on its just stuck in landscape mode and I have to pull the battery. Any fixes? I've tried this with every lock screen available, I'd rather not disable auto rotate....

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
try disableing and enabling auto rotate and then turn off ripple effect..

I'm having the same issues too on both of my s3. How to fix?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
above^^

hmmmmmmm i'm wondering if it's the kernel then. can kernel effect data signal and wifi signal? yeah, right? i'm testing a beta kernel for someone so maybe that's it.
kernel definetly could affect this
I don't think you can really messed up anything by flashing whichever modems you want. Just flash and use them every few days. I don't have good reception where I live so I keep the matching base's (obviously VRBLK3 for build) modem loaded. Works when I need it.

If you're flashing just VRBLK3 kernel from the add-on list, your wifi will not work. I don't think it includes the necessary Wi-Fi modules cuz it fails every time when I tried just flashing the stock kernel by itself. Try dirty flashing the rom and choosing the stock kernel and your wifi toggle will work fine again.

Ahh, ok. For me it doesn't change until my brightness is toggled over 50%. I usually keep my screen at about 40% so that's how I notice. Are you saying the toggle doesn't light up once you hit at least toggle it to about 50%?

Edit: I just tried playing with the different settings like auto/100% and mine lights up. I use the 25/50/75/100 brightness toggle. I'm really not sure why yours will not light up.

Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
agreed i borked the stock kernel in op lol if forgot to add the modules to it.. just realized this but the stock kernel in the rom is fine, and i agree i like keeping the kernel and modem matching this is maybe the only time ive had a newer modem to kernel because it helps my signal alot with ma2 modem

try stock kernel thats the only thing i could think of that would mess up otg..

I'm having trouble downloading build 12 from Android file host. It continues to say 'searching for mirrors'. Does anyone have a link to download build 12?

@beans
If all kernels available have msm-dcvs, I think this would be a fine choice to set for stock it has native hotplugging and has no user set options, is made by Qualcomm for multi core devices and has better battery life and responsiveness than on demand. As far as I know all s3 kernels have this governor. If they don't then I have another choice

My second core won't go off line with this governor. is that due to no mpdecision?

I think it is. I'm using faux kernel with on demand and my second core never goes offline when the screen is on and it did previously when I had mpdecision. Is there any way to make a choice to keep this or not? With faux I can disable it but it still needs the executable there.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but if you select just percentage in the battery options during the install nothing shows up in the notification area at all for the battery.

Anybody having issues sending mms using Handcent? I've actually had this issue since version 9. The stock messenger apps (TW and AOSP) work fine for me but Handcent just shows me the spinning circle like it's being sent. Nothing actually goes through unless I restart my phone though.

Kinda wish I didn't like Handcent so much, but I do and always end up restoring back to version 8. Everything works great for me there.

I was having a couple of issues with Handscent when I first flashed over to Build-12. I uninstalled the app and re-installed and re-configured it and now it seems to be working fine, no issues so far

Yep, I got helped out a few pages back and I'm up and running again. I didn't realize how much I liked that app until I couldn't use it. Lol

I was having this same problem on the KT kernel. I switched to LeanKernel and the issue is no longer reproducible.

Appears to be kernel releated.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback, I went ahead and flashed the VRBMA2 modem etc (everything seems in order) and using Kt747 Kernel (made some tweaks that I found on a thread here) to help with performance and battery life, and all seems well. I had to switch to a backup to resolve the issue with sending picture messages.

Okay, maybe I'm crazy but does this version have a blue tint to it? I've restored back and forth a few times between version of 8 and 12 and 8 is noticeably whiter. Lol

We are not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone as a result of installing custom roms and/or kernels. you do so at your own risk and take the responsibility upon yourself.

    21d27pv.png

AllianceROM intends to give the user what THEY want. Tired of flashing Roms and having to ask for little changes to suit your taste? Tired of having to manually change colors of the toggles or the battery or move your clock or make statusbar transparent or any of the other multitude of other little color and style tweaks that Android users love? Tired of flashing AROMA installer for every little change you want to make? Tired of having to add your favourite images everytime a new rom comes out?

If you answer yes to any of these then AllianceROM is for you! We have a huge array of "on the fly" options for you to play with. Make your phone to YOUR style. YOUR color. YOUR perfection.

Available in both Stock and AOSP themes selectable on install, the majority of modifications in AllianceROM are OPTIONAL. You can turn them on and off at will. We try not to impose many things on people because we realise that Android is all about INDIVIDUALITY. Make YOUR Rom and YOUR phone how YOU want it and change it on a whim.

AllianceROM - Designed to be Individual....

Let's get one thing straight since I had to read 12 pages of garbage....
No one accused Chad of ANYTHING! All that was said was in opinion there are 2 reasons why someone would not post source which were good opinions.
You all took that as an accusation...that is something you need to reflect on. No reason for any retractions!
The 2nd reason listed was the correct one. Chad felt all were cherry picking and stealing his work...end of story!
NO ONE said he was stealing information! And NO WAY that opinion would result in any C&D being served! You seriously give someone that much power?
Next time you have an issue with what you THINK someone meant take it to PMs but NOT in a ROM thread.
Everyone of you could be infracted for either off-topic, personal attacks or flaming.
Get this thread back on topic or people will be infracted or worse.
I am not feeling too much like the Friendly Neighborhood Moderator after reading this crap first thing on a Sunday morning.
But Thank you all for your future cooperation

With all this said please use off-site mods or kernels at your own risk and please do not ask for support for those on XDA.
