Guys, guys... CM10.1 is way smoother than wayland's cm9. I bet all the cm10.1s are great. For those going to try maclaw's release, be reminded, you won't get toggles, etc. Tried erikcas build. Weird but phone hung up and restarted on turning on Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi worked great with bieltv's build but sometimes I had some reboots here and there but not much. I personally feel that wayland's beta 7 is the best among these but I haven't tried Wi-Fi on it though. For those reporting lag, try out Seeder entropy app for lag reduction. Works like a charm for me on all the 3 & phone runs as smoothly as butter ;)

much better if all the mentioned ROM has installation instruction, coz some developers has not installation procedure on their thread, so newbies will ask for the procedure on how shud do they flash the ROM..

bieltv's CM10.1 is atleast for me the fastest JB ROM. I've tried others as well and this is the only one that runs as good as GB. I think this shows how different our Ace's can be. For example, I can't overclock at all, the last stable clock is exactly 800Mhz, anything over that will end up in a reboot.

At the moment, we should stop debating over which ones more smoother and should only focus on bringing unknown flaws to the developers' fore front so that they could be fixed.

Difference in flashing ROMS

I've listed here all available Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Roms with quick performance, options and bug overview
I will update this thread if an update will be released or even a new Rom

Latest Update: 5th April

Personal favorite:
Cyanogenmod 10.1 RC0 by Mardon

To make sure all roms listed below run very smooth, I recommend:
1.Download Seeder from Play Store and run it on boot
2.Overclock to 844 or 864mhz
3.Use galaxyics governor if available, otherwise use smartassh3 or smartassv2
4.If you using aokp or pacrom go to performance control and set 80ram always free and tick set on boot

Let's start with Vanilla Android:

AOSP Beta 2 by Maclaw Studio
xda-thread(I am NOT the dev) : http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2181854

Performance: In my opinion the most smoothest JB rom
Options: PURE Android so not many, but that boosts the perfomance
Bugs: Bluetooth and buttons backlight not working (will be fixed in future of course)
HUGE ADVANTAGE ON THIS ROM : This Rom has Maclaw's self-made Kernel based on Samsungs Kernel. It prevents 1,5Ghz overclock at booting (very dangerous, included in all roms listed down), has a custom governor which makes Jelly Bean extremely smooth on the ACE and some other improvements I forgot to mention

CyanogenMod 10.1 Release Candidate 1 by Bieltv.3
xda-thread: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2199575
Performance: Very smooth, smoothest cm10.1 ever used on my phone
Options: Main cm features but unfortunetaly NO APOLLO AND DSP MANAGER preinstalled
Bugs:None

CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightly 10th March 2013 by Erikcas
xda-thread(again Im not the dev ^^): http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2180669

Perfomance: Very smooth, perfect as a daily driver
Options: Who don't knows CM's options? :D
Bugs: None

CyanogenMod 10.1 RC0 by Mardon
xda-thread: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2212438

Performance: smoothest cm10.1 I've ever used!
Bugs: None

CyanogenMod 10.1 OD Edition by OldDroid
xda-thread: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=36835302

Performance: At the beginning very smooth, gets more and more laggy after a while
Options: Main CM10.1 features + advanced lockscreen settings
Bugs: None
Issues: I/O scheduler settings

AOKP mr1 build3 by Erikcas
xda-thread: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2173576

Performance: Veeery smooth, even little bit smoother than CM10.1 i think
Options: Main AOKP options, more customizeable than any other Rom
Bugs: Statusbar buggy, aokp version indicator bug, theme chooser fc,sound toggle not addable

PAC-Rom (Paranoid Android 3.10,AOKP mr1,CM10.1) 22.0.0 by OldDroid
xda-thread: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=37812347

Perfomance:Very smooth in latest update
Options: MOST customizeable ROM I have ever seen. All Paranoid Android settings like Hybrid Mode and Pie Control,All CM10.1 options and all of the AOKP options
Bugs: None
This Rom has galaxyics governor from maclaw in the kernel,I recommend to use it

ParanoidAndroid (AOSPA) 3.15 by olddroid
xda-thread: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2211996
Performance: Very laggy, for me absolutely not usable for daily usage
Options: Main PA options, Google is your friend
Bugs: Many layout bugs because it's ported from Hdpi to mdpi

Lovely info. Thumbs Up. Please keep updating the same way

@Matt. I have flashed lots of ROMS and wanted to know your opinion on it on 2 scenarios which is mentioned below and let me know, If I am riight or wrong?

SCENARIO 1
Flash any CM 10.1 ROM by Maclaw. After a successful flash and then after rebooting system what do we see? It displays according to these steps.......
STEP 1 - SAMSUNG LOGO with website www.samsung.com
STEP 2 - GALAXY ACE GT - s5830
STEP 3 - CM boot animation and then comes the
STEP 4 - HomeScreen

SCENARIO 2
Flash any CM 10.1 ROM by Oldroid, Wayland, Erickas and many others etc..... After a successful flash and then after rebooting system what do we see? It displays according to these steps......
STEP 1 - SAMSUNG LOGO with website www.samsung.com
STEP 2 - Screen goes white instead of displaying GALAXY ACE GT - s5830. Out of curiosity Why does the screen goes white???????????
STEP 3 - CM boot animation and then comes the
STEP 4 - HomeScreen

I just want to know why there is a single difference. Is it that I'm flashing the ROM in an incorrect way? Coz I have checked with few guys and they have the same isssues with it however its not a huge problem.

Any feedback will be appreciated? Thanks

Victor :)

Thanks for this. Think I'll stick with AOKP, but it ain't bug free, some minor bugs still present.
