Shendu OS v4.1.2 is released on Friday 10.05.2013.

Hi,
can someone extract the ShenDu kernel and make a flashable zip file?? i want to try the slimrom (by msxzero) with the ShenDu kernel combination
i think the result will be pretty good....
the only problem i have with slimrom is the sound in the recorded videos... it has to do with the kernel used in the rom thats for sure, im now using
the Zero Gravity Kernel, does someone know how to fix the sound issue?? ... perhaps if we could overwrite some files (audio libs?) with other from
the ShenDu rom this would fix the problem... any other suggestions to fix the issues?

You can copy the boot.img of shendu and replace the boot.img of slimbean. Did it with paranoid, slim and miui, but not the shendu kernel. You can try it

i overwrited the boot.img from slim with the one from ShenDu.... made a new zip file from the slimbean and ShenDu boot.img that i tried to flash in
the recovery and there i had an error.
can you tell me how you replace the boot.img? should i just copy the boot.img in a specific directory of the rom? push the boot.img with adb?make
a new flashable "rom" in cmw???
What was the error? Thats how i do it. What i did with slimbean was unzip it, took boot.img of cylons cm10 and rezipped it.

I extracted the files from zip to shendu/themes,can i ask u are u registered in shendu forum,because if u are can u inform of the reboot issue here in greece,3g cant be changed to 2g when sim is inserted and the sim unlock screen does not pop up.
i found a solution: i took the Zero Gravity kernel open it with 7z and drag in boot.img from the ShenDu rom and then just flashed it in the recovery
and as i said the audio issue was related to the kernel.... with the ShenDu kernel there is no problem with the sound :laugh::good:

10im just sharing the download link of this great rom, many thanks to the ShenDu DEVs for their great work
the latest ShenDu version was released today
http://www.shenduos.com/download2.php to download click on the green button...
to flash to the rom proceed as usual wipe data, cache and dalvik, flash the rom and then flash this file
http://www.file-upload.net/download-7361802/4.2LatinIme.zip.html to change the language
the good thing with this rom is that the video recording (720p) is working without any problems, the rom is smooth and fast
the led notifications are also working
if you liked the ics camera app you can use it with this rom just go to http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2091599 , download the cm10 version and flash it in the recovery
there are some app in chinese that you can delete with root browser lite or any other alternative if you dont need them...
the calendar app is still in chinese you can take another app from another rom and install if you want
i really liked the previous version of this rom so today i flashed the new version and til now i didnt found any problem ...
PS: i advise you to flash the ics cam app i think its more stable than the cm one and if the cm camera app freezes when you try to record a video, open the gallery delete the latest video reboot your phone and open the ics cam app to record videos this worked for me
PPS: time for some tweaks
add these line in build.prop:
ro.media.enc.jpeg.quality=90
ro.media.dec.jpeg.memcap=8000000
ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps=8000000
and extract the init.d tweaks.zip copy to system/etc/init.d folder then reboot your phone3

hi elderap, so the first time i flashed the rom the language was english but some apps names were in chinese but when i flashed the latinme.zip i had no chinese names anymore
i will upload the file on another filehoster later
Edit: the link is working there are already 17 downloads...2Its really 720p? How's the batt life?
