Bluetooth doesnt work well on Aokp :(

Via Nexus 4 Tapatalk 4 Beta

Try with AOSP.

New version v4.1

- active JRCU (sorry, my mistake..)
- cpufreq: interactive: Unify Governor Lock Strategy

zImage attached (rar) (DON'T flash this RAR file via recovery, it only contains a zImage)
CWM zip attached (CM ramdisk). (thanks to herogjan and Moscow Desire)

Flash the boot.img by flashboot.
Flash the CWM zip by CWM recovery

If you want only boot.img, extract it form CWM zip

would be nice if we could have this Kernel for Stock 4.1.1

edit:
I tested the Kernel on CM10.1.
Animations in Android are still slow and sluggish, Epic Citadel fps went from 31fps (stock) to 32fps (CM 10.1 with Kiteman v4.1) = 1fps increasement.
It's like the GPU OC did nothing at all.

Stock 4.1.1 works faster, is more responsible and smoother. So it's most likely a CM thing.

running stock since yesterday and I feel like you about all points.

So :

- acer doesnt released the "good" kernel version

or

- pawitp made some changes in ramdisk. pawitp ?

Will test kernel on stock now.:cowboy:

You think it's a kernel thing that most things on Stock are smoother than on CM ?
You can feel this in the launcher when scrolling through the homescreen sites and also when opening up the drawer.
I installed the stock 4.2.2 Launcher on CM and it didn't change anything in speed compared to Trebuchet.

Also the 3D/2D performance of several benchmarks seem to be slower on CM than on Stock, even with GPU OC to 520mhz.

Maybe I am wrong, but some days ago pawitp said that its a problem of the new android version, adding another layer which brings our processors in trouble.. thats why CM isnt as smooth as stock.

You can enable "Force GPU rendering" in Developers Options, but it doesnt help that much. If i remember right, the problem was that the device can handle 3 layers quite well, but as there was a fourth layer coming in 4.2.2 it cant handle it well :/ i dont think you can "fix" that :/

OK, by the way, actually running newer version of my kernel on stock with same improvments as cm kernel version. 4800 on quadrants.
3d is much better than with cm ROM.

Hi,
which version off stock you use?

Its the hwcomposer problem with cm!
It wont work with it.So we cant get the GPU good working with aosp :(
Which stock rom you use?

But how acer will fix it ? :)

If its realy a hardware problem, now 4.2.2 stock will reach your a700.

I think about going back to stock rom.
4.2.2 looks realy good and the battery life is two times better as stock, but the grafik performance is so bad.
I cant tune my kernel to get it fly.

Acer last stock ROM. Got 5h screen on time with 50% battery. (Web, vidéo)

Sounds good.
I will be back again to stock!
But, tell me, do you know, how we can get the bluetooth toggle inside the 4.1.1 stock rom?
There is only wlan button, but no bluetooth.

i just noticed this kernel does not support cifs protocol (built-in) neither comes with a working cifs.ko. i really love this kernel but this is a no go for me.

is it possible to include cifs-support in future versions of your kernel, kiteman? would be awesome.

greetings

peter

    I've made two flashable's, one for stock with vorbeth his ramdisk and one for cm10 2010424

    After looking at your install-script, you may want to add a couple things. Mainly because you may run into problems in the future with leaving old module files. Try this; (thanks Civato)

    Code:
    mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/platform/sdhci-tegra.3/by-name/APP", "/system");
    mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/platform/sdhci-tegra.3/by-name/UDA", "/data");

    ui_print("-- Installing kernel modules");
    delete_recursive("/system/lib/modules");
    package_extract_dir("system", "/system");
    set_perm_recursive(0, 0, 0755, 0644, "/system/lib/modules");
    run_program("/sbin/sleep", "2");

    ui_print("-- Writing Boot image");
    package_extract_file("boot.img", "/dev/block/platform/sdhci-tegra.3/by-name/LNX");
    run_program("/sbin/sleep", "2");

    ui_print("-- Wiping cache");
    delete_recursive("/data/dalvik-cache");
    run_program("/sbin/sleep", "2");

    ui_print("-- Unmounting partitions");
    unmount("/system");
    unmount("/data");

    This avoids that issue.

    Very nice to see some more development for this tab. Thanks for your work.
    +1 for a CWM flashable zip. I often work directly from the tablet and would love to test this without having to use my PC :)

    New version v3

    - Compiled with Linaro 4.7 toolchain
    - O2 optimizations instead of Os
    - make ARM optimizations
    - Set down hotplug delai
    - others minors tweaks.(see my github for more informations)

    zImage attached (rar) (DON'T flash this RAR file via recovery, it only contains a zImage)
    CWM zip attached (CM ramdisk). (thanks to herogjan and Moscow Desire)

    Not enough time to make boot.img and CWM zip for stock ROM, sorry.

    Flash the boot.img by flashboot.
    Flash the CWM zip by CWM recovery

    If you want only boot.img, extract it form CWM zip
