Flashed over xgamerz 2.6 without clean install. Just wipe data/factory reset - flash A6 - normal boot - reboot recovery - flash gapps - reboot.
So far so good. 6 hours of use, no sods, no screen tearing, just a normal drain of the battery.
Just waiting a swap apk and the PIE controls which doesn't appear in settings/system

1. It doesn' actually freeze, just press power button while it stuck on reboot window.
2. After connecting to USB, u will get option on notification bar, select mass storage from that option.

Kindly press Thanks button if I helped. :p

Finger print is not apps or function, it is ROM id. It changed in the build.prop.

Flashing clarified by Dhiru

Let me clear the air.

There is no definate way required to flash the ROM. Just flash from any firmware and wipe everything. It WILL work. You don't have to flash Android 1.1 > Cupcake > Donut > Eclair > Froyo > KPE > KPU > LF2 > MF1 > CM7 > CM9 > CM10 > CM10.1

All this flashing, ROM Base and stuff is a big hoax. The only stuff that will affect the ROM is the bootloaders, which are identical for all the Gingerbread based firmware releases. The only difference being KPE and other leaked releases have bootloaders with debugging enabled. Nothing else. Please don't waste your time flashing around.

Now that the master has said it I am happy. Even as a noob it didn't make a (common) sense to me that the so called stock rom base is 'important' and that it would matter even when one is flashing a cyanogen ROM & kernel.

Thank you Dhiru!

Guys, the recovery option is on the developer option..you must enable the developer option first by go to Settings, about phone, press the "build number" for 10times..!then you'll get it!

When it comes to battery, there is a slight room for improvement. The battery optimization is good, which could be proved by the fact that the device maintains good battery life on standby with network connection and no WIFI or 3G. If the device looses battery while being used, it clearly means that Android is what is using up the battery. If you want good performance, you will have to compromise when it comes to battery. You could get 2 days of backup if you limit the processor clock to 300Mhz, but how useful is it? It's hard to check and fix issues with battery.

True. This is the battery life I get with ondemand governor 300-1000, WiFi on, 3G on, phone calls, and social apps on the background

I'm very impress. Thank you for the improvements you made on this ROM

    Installation Instructions

    IMPORTANT! READ BEFORE FLASHING!
    1. If you flash this ROM from Stock ROM, it will wipe data due to different partitioning. The device would reboot while flashing and resume again.
    2. Once on this ROM, the most effective way of going back to any other ROM would be to repartition from Odin.
    3. While converting the filesystem, your efs that has your IMEI is backed up to /emmc/backup/efs. Keep a backup on your PC just in case.
    4. Incase if you don't get a network signal, check if your IMEI and Baseband are proper. If not, go back to stock and try again.
    5. Do NOT use Odin to flash Modems. Due to different partitions, Odin will screw up your existing MTD setup.

    Stock ROM
    1. Flash CWM Compatible Kernel (CF ROOT)
    2. Reboot to Recovery.
    3. Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
    4. Select the ROM zip from your SD Card and flash.
    5. The device will reboot and finish flashing.
    6. Reboot to Recovery Again.
    7. Flash Google Apps.
    8. Reboot

    Any other AOSP ROM (CM7/MIUI/CM9)
    1. Reboot to Recovery.
    3. Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
    4. Select the ROM zip from your SD Card and flash.
    5. The device will reboot and finish flashing.
    6. Reboot to Recovery Again.
    7. Flash Google Apps.
    8. Reboot

Upgrading from previous versions of CM10
    1. Reboot to Recovery.
    2. Select the ROM zip from your SD Card and flash.
    3. Flash Google Apps.
    4. Reboot

I have finally purchased LG Optimus Black P970. Big Thanks to everyone who has donated.

I have received the phone yesterday and I have built CM10.1 and installed it. I started playing around with the HWComposer and testing out few stuff. After hours of debugging with the P970, I finally came to know what's the problem that was preventing HWComposer to run on Galaxy SL. I immediately made the fixes and viola! It works.

The UI is butter smooth now with almost no visible lag. The performance is same as that of P970. However, I have been facing issues with getting the HD video to work. There are some display subsystem errors and the screen turns off when a video is played. Once this issue is fixed, I will roll out the next release with HWComposer.

Alpha 7 is out. This would be the most stable and complete release so far.
    65
New build of Alpha 6 is out. You could download it from the Download section.

You will never have seen your phone perform so well as that of new Alpha 6 :cyclops:
