you can download a TW theme for nova and just edit the icon in nova to use the one you want from the theme. Hold app drawer icon in nova, choose edit. Then you can choose an icon from the theme to use. It's what I normally do.

Thanks. I already have cobalt theme installed through this rom, and I know how to change an icon in nova. What I don't know is the directory and filename of that touchwiz app drawer icon.

Edit: nevermind, I found it in seclauncher of the cobalt theme. Just had to copy to pc and unzip to go through the icons.

Now that we have official 4.1.2, has anyone figured out a way to edit the apps in multi window where it doesn't just choose the one from the top of the list? Mine still does that. Thanks!

I don't, it's a hack/trick

If you install the xposed framework and the multi window module it works better.
Just need to remember to delete the flashbar data folder after installing and restart the phone.

Omg, finally a tw rom with just the right amount of customization. Not overboard trying to do a little too much of everything.

Thanks for the update, thanks for your work and the rom.

Ahh, it feels good to be back. Was on deTmobilized for a couple weeks. It's feels about the same as S3Rx2.0, except maybe a little slower. S3Rx2.0 is running really smooth for me.

Then tried out CM10.2beta (android 4.3) for about a week. Pretty quick and had some decent features, but I've come to really love touchwiz apps, like calendar, camera, svoice, etc.

Had the common GPS broken after coming back, but the fix in Post #4 worked like a charm. ((I wish the XDA app had better search capabilities. It's no wonder so many people post the same question over and over...))

One feature I kind of miss from CM10.2 is the lockscreen torch - instead of just a Home button press, it required a long press while locked. I like this much better since there's less chance of accidentally turning it on. Any chance we could get that ported over??

BTW, just sent some money to loserskater and enewman. Hope it made your Monday a little better :)

Thanks man. Glad you got everything situated.

If you wouldn't mind adding it to the bug report at the top of the thread, it just makes it a lot easier to keep track of. I'm pretty sure I know how to fix it but the fact it's in CM definitely helps.

Ok.....I don't want to be a nit picker, and correct me if I'm wrong please, but the "baseband" listed there is simply the modern you're on.....right?
Hence, the text in that line isn't going to change until you intentionally flash a different modem package.....which no custom Rom flashes. Correct?
Just trying to make sure selw0nk doesn't go re-flashing when not needed. :D

I flashed this ROM (S3RX 2.0) and I am liking it a lot. Moved in from deT and I am glad I did. Making it my Daily. FOR ME, and I can't stress this wnough... FOR ME, the new MG2 modem works a treat. faster LTE speed in Puerto Rico Metro Area and my rural address sees an increase in bandwidth as well. You all know, YMMV.

I had asked about this and was told, and I also read in a few places, that the ROMS will not have the baseband and/or bootloader, so I installed the MG2 one posted by enewman17 found here: Click here. (Thanks, enewman17). Just Flash it in recovery. Remember to RTFM.

I flashed this on both my S3's using dTmobilized and all is good.
The script will check the file integrity so if the checksums do not match it will abort.
As always use with caution.

Here is the complete UCDMG2 firmware minus recovery

This will update your phones firmware, bootloader, modem.... while retaining your custom recovery. Nice easy way to update without Odin.
  • rpm.mbn - Resources and Power Manager
  • sbl2.mbn - Part of Secondary Bootloader
  • sbl3.mbn - Part of Secondary Bootloader
  • aboot.mbn - AP Bootloader
  • tz.mbn - Trust Zone
  • NON-HLOS.bin - Modem / Radio

Credit to mnasledov for the flash script.

Simply flash in recovery.

No you don't have to flash anything before flashing the Rom. But if you want the newest modem and bootloaders for your I747 there will be a package in the OP that will update that via recovery. Or if you just want the modem it's available in the modem thread.

Here's a comparison: list with first test with LK3 vs two tests with MG2 just now. I was averaging 10-12 down. Now, check this one out:

First pic in attachment is measurements with new baseband:
Second pic in attachment is a comparison between LK3 (last in list) and MG2 update from enewman17:

By the way, I HAD TO LET MINE SIT FOR A WHILE, I don't know why... so don't get desperate.

    2. added crt off effect.
    3. fixed updated hagouts video chat, missing lib file
    4. moved more bloat to data/app
    5. Needs testing but I resigned the AccessT-Mobile app so it shouldn't be recognized by the market. So since this version should be safe form the update you can choose to use it or uninstall it.
    6. Fixed 1% battery mod... seems Samsung used 2 sets of xml to control the the battery icons.

    Known Issues
    1. Screen off torch light is buggy. It will work fine within 3 seconds of the screen being turned off. If it works perfect for you no matter when you turned the screen off then it is creating the wakelock and you may experience some extra battery draw. *A reboot will get rid of the wakelock*
    2. Battery MOD my be a little funky till you mess with the settings. *It might also be slow to open, as we add more icons it will get slower*
    3. Tell us if you notice anything else.

    GPS Issues?

    GPS not locking: Unfortunately This is going to happen to some when coming from AOSP based ROMs and other carrier ports.

    A couple common fixes include...
    =====================================================================================================================================================================
    1. Easiest and most reliable way. Try this first!
    • Enter the Samsung service mode by typing this code into the dial pad *#197328640#
    • Then go to Mainmenu>UMTS>Common>NV REBUILD>NV REBUILD> (Important: don't exit the menu yet!)
    • Wait 30+ sec
    • Long press power button and select "Restart / Reboot"
    • Now check your GPS from any software that may use GPS like "Maps" or "GPS Status"...

    All credit to harshaedvern for this easy fix

    =====================================================================================================================================================================

    2. Returning to the stock ROM via ODIN, acquire a GPS lock then reboot into Recovery.. Wipe and Flash new ROM.
    I recommend trying Chainfire's MOBILE ODIN first before the desktop version, it's really easy to use and it's free to XDA users HERE.
    You can flash an ODIN package right from your phone and still retain your custom recovery, simply exclude it from the list of partitions to flash.
    It will also inject ROOT if the ODIN package does not already have it... makes things really simple.
    =====================================================================================================================================================================

    3. Restoring a nandroid of a TouchWiz ROM with a known working GPS status, make sure all location services are enables and can obtain a GPS lock. (go to additional steps now if needed) Reboot, Wipe and Flash New ROM...
    Additional steps if required before flashing new ROM:
    Backup your internal storage and take out your sd-card now... just in case stuff gets deleted. Do a Factory Reset form within the restored TW nandroid. Reboot... Skip all the setup stuff... acquire a GPS lock again... Reboot into recovery Wipe and Flash the new ROM.
    =====================================================================================================================================================================

    4. Flash back to the AOSP ROM you were just on. Obtain a GPS lock, then reinstall ROM again and see if GPS works

    =====================================================================================================================================================================

    5. Repeat until one of the options ends up working... Not much else to tell you to try. Good luck!

    =====================================================================================================================================================================

    GPS and Location Services: If you have Google Maps installed and Google Now, you will notice Maps uses your location services a lot during the day. Apparently Google thinks we need our location tracked 24/7. Turning GPS on only when needed will help eliminate the wakelocks created by maps. Going a step further you may also want to disable the "Use Network Location", This will also stop other apps form getting your location... Most apps will let you enter your location manually so it's not really a big deal turning it off, especially when your talking about increasing your battery life.

    • Knox free with Selinux set to permissive.
