Is it just me or is anyone else's refusing to send texts through the stock messanging app on the new build? Can receive just fine but it won't send anything outbound to anyone. AT&T, Have preformed 2 full wipes/clean install incase it was a bad flash, still cant send texts. First time I've had any real issues with any beanstalk build.

Hey, can you stop posting the same issue over and over this sms problem has been reported already this is the first beanstalk 4.3 build so don't expect to be perfect, if you are not satisfied with the new build go back to 4.2.2 or 2.3.6 and wait for the next build, you all has been warn if you keep posting the same issue over and over this thread will be closed.

Chill man, I didn't see any sending issues so was just asking a question, not complaining or anything else, Scott does great work and its the only reason I haven't upgraded out of the infuse yet... But apparently that's not allowed... Don't have to be an asshat you know.

Have you checked MD5 sum on your download? Maybe you need to re-download the new version or gapps or both.

smoe minoe ignorable issues

Thes are some issues i have seen.
those are very minor, and easily ignorable,.. just putting here as i though its not a big deal, or not worry for anyone if not works..

1. Quick setting panel while rotating in landscape mode-- layout looks not similar it was earlier.
2. App Sidebar- getting difficulties to open the app from it, some time require 3-4 tap to open the app

Great work Scott, everything working like charm, the above are just some bugs may be taken care anytime.

Its you that makes infuse comparable to other latest devices.
My friends are having s4 but still not managed to get JB 4.3, i realy enjoy this.

;)

Nice to see another release...especially one for 4.3. Seems to be running nicely, but I'm having the problem I saw mentioned earlier about not being able to install the Xposed Framework. I tried downloading it manually, but no dice (although I didn't uninstall Xposed first - will try that next).

And sorry I'm so late to the party, but congrats on the baby beanstalker, Scott! :D Hope you at least REMEMBER what sleep is...

Charge Rate info

Hi all:

Scott: Congrats on the little one, and thanks for your work.

All:
I am using the latest 4.3.00 build and had used the previous as well. I am a bit confused about the charge "boost". I can turn it on/off without noticing any difference whether USB to computer, car charger, or home charger I have tried them all.

How are you all checking the charge rate? I am using the "currentwidget" normalized to /1.83. Is this the best way to check?

I would like to see the charge rate increased for when I use the GPS on a trip.

I know there are ways to change a USB cable for D+ to increase current. Can one of those cables be purchased somewhere (I haven't found a good source that I know is wired correctly).

BTW, I have fast charge enabled in the settings.

Any help is appreciated.

After 8 flashes and 3 times downloading the ROM again, I finally got it to work right. Every time I went to change the LCD density, it froze on the Beanstalk animation. I'm sure I had either some bad flashes or bad downloads.

Is it me, or did Scott somehow improve on the already nice battery life?

Great work Scott had a few FC's with the 7/26 gapps package tho did a search and found a new 8/13 4.3 gapps package and everything is working great, lock screen icons don't stay after customising them but that's not a problem :) now to wait for all my apps to be updated for 4.3 and I'll be good. Been bragging to friends all day LOL great job once again Scott

I've actually gotten worse battery life on the latest build, but my device makes a poor test subject, I get very irregular battery stats (likely just a worn out battery)

Glad you finally got it workin right, I've made it a habit to always check the MD5 checksum after download, have caught a few bad ones and saved myself countless hours of re-flashing and setup, not to mention frustration.;)

Frustration? You have no idea. I threw the phone a few times (at my couch, I don't want to kill it).

I know my usage isn't typical (I'm only using this infuse for an MP3 player in the car), but after a solid 1/2 hour running WinAmp in the car with full volume + slight bass boost & +5 dB, screen timing out after a minute, my battery dropped a staggering 3%.

I was running around like crazy trying to find a ground loop isolator for the car ahead of our vacation next week...but it looks like I won't even have to plug the phone in when I'm in the car. Even if I keep the screen on more, it still looks like I'll have plenty of juice for the four-hour drive.

I updated a few days ago to the latest and I notice that I have two gallery and two camera icons. How do I fix this? Has anyone else seen this?

Hey Scott, if I want to port this ROM to another device do I have to build from source or could I port it using the zip file? BTW thanks for this awesome ROM I made the switch yesterday and I'm not going back

I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by myself. This is a build composed off of the CM10.1 builds and i have added alot of features on top of it. So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with my current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!

I plan on updating this and adding features on a pretty regular basis, so if you happen to like this, keep checking back.

    * Using the new LVM partition setup. Gives us 400 mb /system and additional datadata partition of 350 mb
    * DO NOT proceed without reading this first. You may want to remove your external sdcard as there have been a few reports in the past that it messed things up. Safety first! When you go to flash it, it will give you a warning about being incompatible and it will erase your data... You will need to flash it again for it to start to flash. It will reboot and go back into flashing.... It will reboot again and come back to normal recovery screen. From this point, the build is finished installing and you can install GAPPs or any extras you may want to use.

So your interested in Building/Porting for another device?! Follow this guide! **Please make sure to give proper credits and Use the layout i have in the first post.** - If you need assistance, please send me a PM, do NOT post questions in this thread. I may open a general porting/building thread in another section depending on how this goes. You must have some general experience/knowledge in this area to complete this. Building from Linux platforms. In particular Ubuntu 10.04

If you have building/development concerns or issues, Please visit the BeanStalk Development Thread to avoid cluttering this thread.

Setup to build - This section can be skipped if youve ever built anything before. This is for first time build setup.
    1. From your root terminal location, type the following: sudo apt-get install curl git-core gnupg flex bison gperf libsdl1.2-dev libesd0-dev libwxgtk2.6-dev squashfs-tools build-essential zip curl libncurses5-dev zlib1g-dev sun-java6-jdk pngcrush schedtool g++-multilib lib32z1-dev lib32ncurses5-dev lib32readline5-dev gcc-4.3-multilib g++-4.3-multilib
    2. Type: mkdir ~/bin
    3. Type: PATH=~/bin:$PATH
    4. Type: curl https://dl-ssl.google.com/dl/googlesource/git-repo/repo > ~/bin/repo
    5. Type: chmod a+x ~/bin/repo

    From terminal
    1. type 'cd'. This will bring you to your root folder.
    2. type 'mkdir beanstalk'. This will create a folder named beanstalk.
    3. type 'cd beanstalk'. This will take you to the beanstalk directory created from previous step
    4. type 'repo init -u git://github.com/scotthartbti/android.git -b cm-10.1'. This will setup the folders to be synced.
    5. type 'repo sync'. This will sync the folders to your beanstalk directory. Note - This will take some time depending on internet connection. Be patient!
    6. After the repo sync finally finishes, all you need to do is add your device, kernel, vendor specific files for the device you are building for. (You must know what these are, dont bother asking me if your not sure.)
    7. Make sure all your device specific files are setup as if you were going to build for CM.
    8. Outside of terminal, navigate to beanstalk/vendor/cm. Double click on the get-prebuilts file and select run in terminal. This will fetch necessary files needed to build and place them where they need to be.
    9. Type '. build/envsetup.sh && brunch "device name"'
    10. Previous step will start building beanstalk for your device. The process takes anywhere from 1 - 3 hours depending on your computer.
    11. Once completed, it will say package complete and you will have a beanstalk named zip file in your out folder.
