why am i getting out of space error

i just updated to the july version of 10.1.2.............i have screenshots attached...........i am getting out of storage error while i still have more than 700mb free..............what am i doing wrong n how can i address the issue...i didnt have such issues previously with june nightlies

This happens if one of your apps has accumulated a lot of data. This happened with me with my email app which had emails of past 6 months and even though I had enough space in Internal and SD card, the phone always cried 'out of internal memory'. Once I deleted my mails and restricted them to 2 weeks, all has been good.
Check your apps and see if any of them has huge data - maybe that's what is causing this.

Upgrade to 2.3.6 using Ódin (or OFFICIAL way)
Then flash Semaphore (I am using semaphore but other kernels may also work well) kernel for Odin and for the particular ROM version (2.3.6 jvu, jvt .... Depends on the rom he will flash in first step) via Odin
Place cm installation zip to SD card and flash from recovery ....
Done

I have huge battery drain since yesterday updated to 10.1.3.-RC1.

GOOGLE SERVICES are aktiv almost the whole time as phone is on. Neither Off/On nor restart solved the problem.

Stopping all the related Services "Location....", Message....",..... stopped the drain for the Moment. I assume that it is still there after the next reboot.

How can I prevent them from staying active again?

GPS is hugely improved by the fix. There are more satellites (even inside) and it's faster. It's the same performance as with my last stock ROM (JVR SWC).

Since I flashed the fix, sometimes I get the message "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped.". But I don't know if it is coincidence.
Is there anybody else getting that message?

Thanks! Believe this did the trick through Android Terminal application! :good:
Anyhow this setting will be overwritten though whenever another RC or stable version is coming out isn't it? :)

In which version of CM10.1 has this been fixed? This was reported in CM-10.1.3-RC1 and there has been no other 10.1 update since then. If you are talking about CM10.2, then pls don't post in CM10.1 thread as it leads to confusion. Thanks.

The bug came in CM-10.1-RC1 which was released on 28 Aug. On 31 Aug, Pawitp mentioned that the bug had crept in and also showed how to take care of it manually. This does not mean the bug has been removed. It means that bug has been identified and a workaround to solve it manually has been provided. The bug will be removed in the next release which would either be RC2 release or Stable release. Technically, you could say it is resolved, but for newcomers who don't read that particular post of Pawitp's the bug remains.

Suggestion: maybe Pawitp can post that instruction in OP for whoever installs RC1 release.

    CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    Installation

    - First time flashing CM10.1 to your Galaxy S (or coming from another ROM)?
    1. Root your device and install ClockworkMod Recovery.
    2. Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo
    3. Do a Nandroid backup!
    4. WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
    5. Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery
    6. Optionally install the Google Addon
    - Upgrading from CM7/CM9?
    1. Do a Nandroid Backup!
    2. WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
    3. Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery

    Reporting Bugs

    You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.

    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

    FAQ
    Does this ROM support FM radio?
    I've checked and the new FM API in CM is not really compatible with our device without heavy modification. Applications using the new API expect to be able to read the FM input as it if were another stream, but FM on our device only does pass-through from FM receiver to speaker/headset, which causes certain functionalities to not work such as volume control. Maybe one can modify the audio routing table in the kernel to have it behave like the API expected, but I'm not really interested in investing time to do that.

    TL;DR: No built-in FM radio except if someone else does it and submits a patch.

    Can I request a feature?
    If it is a feature in general CyanogenMod, please post the request at the CyanogenMod bug tracker.
