so you can replace that png with a transparent one in phone.apk, contacts.apk and idlescreen_base.apk and you´re good

I'm having a strange issue during calls where the phone goes into loud speaker mode when I tilt it like, 5 degrees or so. Its crazy - are other people having this issue? I searched the thread and found nothing... The screen turns on too, and I've hung up on people with my ear (may even be that my ear that turns on loudspeaker and the problem is just that the screen is turning on?)

Also...

I know I'm new around here, but this thread is far too big and dated to use search function properly... Eg, search for kernel, battery life, anything like that and posts from MANY versions ago will pop up, which are not relevant to the current rom in any way... Would it make sense to cull some posts? While using viperx 4.0 anything, working or not, from previous versions is generally irrelavant. Do people agree?

I don't recall hearing about the loudspeaker issue either. But the proximity issues and screen rotation, etc. are fixed in the next release.

Maybe the rotation issue is causing him to push the loudspeaker button with his earlobe?

I think it might be related to the Sense "flip for speaker" feature. You could try turning it off in settings - sound and see what happens?

I was getting a lot of the same issues on the initial release. Just gotta be a little more patient. The beta team is still going back and forth a lot with Rich on bugs. We are doing quite a bit of testing though and getting there. It will be one hell of a release though.

Fix Dots-Overlay on lowres contact fotos

Hey guys, here´s a fix for that funny dot-overlay on lowres contact photos.

it removes the dots in phone, dialer, contacts, notifications & idlescreen.
should work on all sense5 roms.

Had a quick look but couldn't find any solution.

CAMERA PROGRAM

It was working fine until few hours ago... Now camera closes second after I open it.

Tried reinstalling the ROM again with only cash wipe. Also tried installing alternative camera app from play store... Still no luck.

Any solution without completely wiping the phone?

There a great chance that there is a problem with your g-sensor install g-sensor debug from play store to check it's functionality . If it's true I check my tuturial to get it back it's on help q&s section

Have you tried clearing the camera cache. I did have this once but I had to send it for repair. As I tried everything even a factory reset (when on stock) it worked fine for a bit then crashed again.

Seems like g-sensor is the problem.
g-sensor debug app doesn't show any information

That isn't a tutorial, nore is it in any way accurate, g sensor has nothing to do with heat, just placebo. It's a hardware fault, my g sensor works on all roms with all kernels, furthermore I'm sure it's not convenient to go threw all these steps just to take a picture. Buy anew phone or buy a camera.

A lot of people confirmed this way working fine for them , AND there is no need to buy a camera for like 200$ just because of a broken sensor as long there is a chance to revive it back , AND there nothing wrong with helping people that are asking for help even if they placed their questions in the wrong forums . ALL forums here at XDA were meant to help developers and users to have a good experience with their phones

AND its not helping here to tell everyone here with any kind of fault whether it hardware or software to buy a new phone or buy a camera
