what is Cosmic Rom ???

1.) Cosmic Rom is the simple but the advanced rom for our S Dous.
2.) This rom is based on 4.0.4 stock rom [ it is modded to a great extend ]
3.) It is created by me using free apps [ as we all know warez r not allowed - fourm rulez ] [please follow them too]
4.) All the apps used in development of rom are free and are opened sourced...
5.) I am not copyrighting my rom ....... u can use any part of my rom but first take my permissions & then if u get permissions then the only thing left is credits.......
6) Do not mirror my roms & patches....[otherwise u know what i can do ]
7.) I have added credits to the people without them this rom was not possible........[refer the credit section ]
8.) Please if u found any warez in my rom - first post here or PM me then if i m not replying to ur PM's then only take the things to MOD'S.....
9.) Cheatman's kernel is included in the Rom version 1 ---> Kernel Source
10.) SeannyM 's OC kernel added in the Rom Version 2 [ thank him also ]

How to install ROM: --------

very important ---- if u stuck at boot logo then first flash stock rom using odin..............then flash this rom

1) Download the rom . Place it on the sd card.
2) Boot in Recovery. (HOME+VOLUME UP+POWER).
3) Wipe data/reset, Wipe cache partition.
4) Then go to advanced & wipe Dalvik cache , wipe battery stats...
5) mount system/data in mount & storage menu of cwm

For Mounting --->
Every option should be mounted ....

6) Then choose zip from sdcard & Flash.

F.A.Q.-------

1. Can i flash it on any baseband ??
A: Yes, try it [ it should work but take precaution like odin + stock firmware ]

2. Tweakbox is not working ??
A: Enable tweakbox in xposed settings in modules tab

3.) Xposed installer is not working ??
A: Goto xposed settings & click on install/update button & reboot..

4.) Can i flash any other tweaks on this rom ??
A: why not ! ! try it but backup is must ...

5.) Cannot read data/xposed/modules.whitelist .....error/toast/notification during installation of apps...
A. Go to cosmic settings>Xposed module settings and click on install..! [thanks to ssdev97 for giving answer to a user]

Requirements :
1. Cosmic Rom 2 should be installed before flashing this update.
2. If u have installed any mod on cosmic rom v2 then install Cosmic Rom Version 2 again.

Steps for installation :
1. Download update & move it to external sdcard.
2. Goto CWM and MOUNT system and data and other partitions
3. Apply from sdcard and flash rom.

note : no need for wiping data and cache bcoz installer will automatically wipe dalvik-cache..but it depends upon u ..

F.A.Q

a.) Clock app is force closing
Ans:- Clear data of app from Settings>Application Manager > Kitkat Clock

b.) status bar looks ugly when white background is there..
Ans:- Patches are available in Rom MODs & THEME thread HERE

c.) Can't change Lockscreen Wallpaper from settings
Ans:- Goto Gallery and choose ur picture then menu > set as ... there will option for lockscreen..
otherwise [OR] - There is a patch to restore stock gallery which will fix this issue. Patch is availabe in Rom MODs & THEME thread HERE

Tips :-

For ultimate performance and battery ---->

1. Under Settings > Development Settings..
Enable GPU rendering
Disbale Window animation scale and Transition animation scale.

2. Choose from CPU settings:

Min freq: 245 or 320 Mhz [ i prefer 245mhz]
Max freq: 1.008Ghz
Governor : ondemand or performance [ i prefer ondemand ]
i/o scheduler : cfq

3. Goto Power Saving settings

Disable CPU power saving
Enable Screen Power Saving

note : we have disable CPU power saving bcoz it limit the CPU to 50% and we have only one core and it will be limited to 50% and our phone start lagging like hell...
