no need to know..
Ok, here I'm sharing with you all necessary to boot CM 11 as secondary ROM. Inside the ZIP, there are zImage, cmdline and edited initrd.gz prepared to install and boot CyanogenMod 11 Stable 2013-12-07. Your partitions must be storaged in /storage/sdcard0/ROM2 (system.ext4, data.ext4 and cache.ext4).

If there's a newer build and you're afraid of editing RAM disk by yourself, you should wait until I upload latest edited RAM disk here. I'll upload it as soon as I can, just be patient.

You only have to edit updater script in ROM's ZIP to install it correctly.

Enjoy! :D

P.S. If anyone suddenly has problems booting secondary ROM, maybe it's happening what happened to me: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=47825418

I will make a build with better management for art tomorrow or Monday. You can't make calls? And browser hanging? Don't know why! Maybe cyanogenmod related

Sent from my ST25i using xda app-developers app

Everything is working great.. It's that weird WiFi problem I told you about earlier... Turns on for the first time... Then when you try to switch it on for the second time you can't....
Logcat : https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9m6v4nCQJ7qc0RFekU4M2s2VHc/edit?usp=docslist_api

Everything works awsome... The dialer... The launcher... The gps... Everything I told you in pm about the last build...
And I think art doesn't support this gapps... It force closes a lot of things... Almost everything...

It's OK.
1) I think kernel need more frequencies. At this moment kernel has only 4 frequency : 200,400,800,1000 Mhz .If you can change to this: 200,300,400,500,600,700,800,900,1000.Will improve drain battery(a lot).
2) Phone It's too hot. Why? Because of processor usage? Please change the frequency table on kernel. My phone work only on 800Mhz max(CPU control). No big problem, but it's not correct. If you can, please do it.
3) Memory is good (150 Mb free).:good:
4) And of course Wifi must be fixed.
5). Ledbar fix: replace the file lights.montblanc.so in system/lib/hw with the one of cm 10.1.Thanks to
brigio345 ; it's his idea.Thanks.(Notifications only).
6). To improve sound quality remove DSP manager and install ViperFX.Warning: to have a good battery you must install power save driver and make a good configuration. It's better then DSP Manager.
Thank's for your hard work. From this moment on my phone is CM11.;)

An interesting observation, if it helps developers in fixing Wi-Fi.
I'm on the latest build from OP link, and WiFi connects perfectly. But when I turn off WiFi toggle and then turn it on, it forgets the network and I must reenter password. But when I'm connected to WiFi and I go out of range of network, it disconnects and when I reenter range, it reconnects automatically!

I feel your best shot would be to contact Maclaw and fork his sources as he and his team have fixed omx

What you have in mind to fix omx?

Framework av patching. We are missing some definitions, pixel format and scene modes to name a few.

Most probably some system process does not have enough permissions to write to data partition.

But Maclaw sad that he had it working on his buid but the build itself was bootlooping ... what happened since then?

Sent from my Xperia U using xda app-developers app

I dont know,im a bit confused to.
Im not sure whats happening but more or less development is stopped.

There was almost full working build and they changed kernel and then nothing...

I just hope that something will happen soon.

in my opinion 4.0.4 is enough for Xperia u .

because of RAM & CPU .

I flashed this rom . it contained a lot of lag & delay to start apps ...

I got back to 4.0.4

:good:

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    Installation:
    1. Download ROM zip and GApps zip.
    2. Boot into recovery.
    3. Wipe data and cache.
    4. Flash ROM zip.
    5. Flash GApps zip. You must flash gapps after every upgrade to CM11 since /system is formatted, wiping your previous add-ons.
    6. Reboot.

    ROM:
On this link, you can find the weekly FINALE of CM11 for Xperia U

    GApps:

    Auto Brightness
    SD Card
    Airplane Mode
    LEDs
    WiFi
    Auto Rotation
    Tethering
    CWM touch recovery

Ok, as you already probably know, it's not a secret anylonger because of latest relese for S3 Mini:
My team has finally ported OMX as it should be, including correctly buffers allocation. Release for Xperia U with fixed video playback and camcorder under compilation!
