IMPORTANT NOTICE for Optimus G Pro E980 users,

As stated above, GomdoLight is compatible only with KOREAN models.
I do NOT own E980 and therefore do not know about it.

If you have a NON-KOREAN Optimus G Pro device, but still wish to install GomdoLight, try restoring this Nandroid backup: https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0BxguIyFQTnvdWVZDcjg4c0NnS2c This will greatly increase your device's compatibility with GomdoLight.

Thank you.

The developer of GomdoLight shall NOT be held responsible for any injury, loss, expense or damage of any kind whatsoever suffered or incurred by any person who uses GomdoLight.

Installing GomdoLight involves a certain level of risks, and may damage your device beyond repair.

By downloading GomdoLight, you automatically agree that you accept the risks explained above and the results even if they are not intended or desired, and indemnifies the developer against any demand, claim or action against the developer relating to or in connection with the user's use or installation of GomdoLight whether directly or indirectly for any reason whatsoever. If you do not agree, do not download GomdoLight or its related components.

Every time your device boots, GomdoLight creates log files in /sdcard. GomdoLightInitialSITREP.txt contains the status of your device when GomdoLight is just installed or reconfigured, and GomdoLightCurrentSITREP.txt contains the current status of your device and updated with each boot. The following are stored in these files:

  • The date and time log was created (it means the boot time)
  • Device model, base firmware version, GomdoLight version
  • Android ID (NOT your Google ID or IMEI)
  • GomdoLight configurations and logs
  • Partitions and storage information (list of partitions and free space)
  • List of applications you installed (displayed by package names)
  • List of all files stored in /system partition
  • The contents of /system/build.prop file
GomdoLight NEVER sends these files without your consent,
and is not capable of sending information outside either.

However the developer can politely request the user to send these files to diagnose problems. As you can see, these files does NOT contain information that may affect your privacy, and it is generally safe to send these files. However if you do not want to send the information, you can just deny the request.

Great rom, but does it allow auto update to 4.3 or 4.4 when they are released later?

if you mean the ota update, no, gomdolight deletes all components related to during its installation process. this is because an ota update on a custom rom is likely to break the system down (probably not being able to boot). the only way to update/upgrade the base firmware is via your pc (lg mobile support tool, or kdz flasher)

however, i plan to create a twitter account, and post update information on there. update notices will be in english too (as well as korean) so you can know when the rom is updated.
