If that doesn't get merged officially on CM 11, nope. In the commit is also stated that has some bugs. If it can't be tested on CTS (in the Compatibility Test Suit,or more effectivelly, on a commit testing server from CyanogenMod) for debugging, nope. This is (even if you don't think that) a thing that can break in many ways depending on the device (even if it works OK on janice, if it doesn't get merged, say good bye).

ERROR 7

Good evening friends!

On my phone when trying to install. Appears zip only (Error 7) in CWM.
I did all the wipes.
I climbed a New rom. I did root, changed the kernel for the cocore with CWM, I tried anyway and the error remains, any tips to solve this little problem?

Thanks for frapeti attention.

I did not edit anything in the scripts, but I downloaded and usually follow the step-by-step instructions for installation.
the error is displayed STATUS 7, I'm trying here, already downloaded 2 times ... switched from sdcard by another and continue with this "7"

flash your kernel flash
reboot and recovry by cwm
The installation starts and after a few seconds and this error appears.

About an App

Has anyone tried running Hike! Messenger on this ROM. I did try it on CM10.2 and got FCs. I reckon it would b about them supporting Custom ROMs or is it some other issue? I really need that on any ROM i use coz a lot of guys are on it whose Whatsapp expired :silly: :D

Sorry if its stupid question! :confused:

This is definitely off-topic, but whatsapp is auto renewed everytime it expires.

@pizzadox11 use CoCore with CWM before installing to avoid that problem. And little common sence, and do not behave like that please.


P.S. Also you can install CM11, then reboot and install in CMs CWM rest you want.

Google+ did cause some initial FCs. Got ok after update. :good: :good: :good: :victory:

Is there any major change from this to the AOSP Rom that was just released couple of days ago by J-Team (just curious) :) ?

First the CWM is working but I tried to install the rom its said status 7 error and I removed the lines from the update script and now i dont know why my phone is just looping when i trying to reboot it from the CWM its telling me if i want to root access possibly lost. fix yes/no and in the first time i clicked no (after one more try i clicked yes) so then my phone is just rebooted and he rebooted again on the end of the logo galaxy s advance and he just started on the stock recovery again now i dont know what to do now he just looping
please help

What did you do with updater-script? You need to remove those 3-4 lines or to change every I9070 to I9070P.

yes i am but i think maybe i didnt put the updated script to the phone i dont really remember i think i just edited it on the computer and i forgot to put it on the phone
and can i somehow get access for the sdcard from the computer on recovery?
or i just need to take another sdcard and put the rom on it

Or the lazy way is to get sd card on some other phone and copy ROM.

    Installation
    1. Download the ROM from below
    2. Download gapps for 4.4 on Android File Host - Scroll down for ART compatible GApps.
    3. Put the zip files on your SDCard/Internal Storage
    4. Reboot on Recovery
    5. Wipe Data / Factory Reset
    6. Select "Install the Zip from External Storage"
    7. Browse to your zip location
    8. Choose CM zip file
    9. Choose GApps zip file
    10. Reboot to system


    Attention
    • First boot takes a while.
      Wait at least 5 mins for it to boot.

    ART is on ALPHA STAGE - It means that while it is included with the ROM, there is NO OFFICIAL SUPPORT FOR IT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

    you can't flash it? try flashing boot.img (inside zip) using UKF and try again

    Where is STK (aka SIM Toolkit) ?
    If you can't find it, try flashing a baseband for your carrier / country and then flash CyanogenMod again, this may solve your issue.
