No problems after deep sleep or after often screen unlocking.

Hmm I don't play any games to test the better fps, but in general use of the device, everything looks the same.

Had the non responsive touch screen again. I suspect at this point either slimkat latest weekly or 33m faux kernel. This GPU driver update not the problem.

Thanks, I just flashed it.
Feels smoother at first, Antutu score stays around 21300 though, same as before.

Could be because of thermal throttling, since my device was just booted, although it is extremely undervolted.

As already stated many times before, there is no difference for Antutu.
Some people notice some general improvement in smoothness of the phone and some others like me feel no difference at all.

Is this mod like all mods? after flashing a new build of my ROM I have to re-flash this zip?

Correct, or you use my attached script and put it into system/addon.d/ (change extension from .txt to .sh and permission set to 755) after you've flashed the zip. Now you can flash your nightlies every day and this zip will be backed up every time.

Much more convenient ;)

Some Benchmarking

Hi,

I did some new vs old benchmarking, using 3 benchmarks:

Q => Quadrant Standard
A => Antutu
M => 3DMark

All Results:

OLD:
Q: (Over all / 2D /3D):
7719 / 990 / 2068
7762 / 990 / 2088
7720 / 1000/ 2068
=> avg: 7733.7 / 993.3 / 2074.7

A: (Over all / 2D /3D):
21198 / 1632 / 6558
21268 / 1641 / 6655
21214 / 1641 / 6629
=> avg: 21226.7 / 1638 / 6614

M: (Over all):
11275 / 11255 / 11332
=> avg: 11287.3

NEW:
Q: (Over all / 2D /3D):
7750 /1000 / 2043
7765 / 1000 / 2075
7729 / 1000 / 2060
=> avg: 7748 / 1000 / 2059.3

A: (Over all / 2D /3D):
21270 / 1632 / 6672
20842 / 1641 / 6711
21129 / 1633 / 6726
=> avg: 21080.3 / 1635.3 / 6703

M: (Over all):
11355 / 11174 / 11212
=> avg: 11247

NEW vs OLD %: (Over all / 2D /3D):
Q: +0.18456 / +0.67 / -0.74228
A: -0.69449 / -0.16511 / +1.3278
M: -0.35832

2/3D avg ((A+Q)/2) %:
+0.252445 / +0.29276

I think it's save to say, that the driver doesn't increase the performance significant.
(At least for my Phone / these Benchmarks, maybe some apps show different results.)

Tested on Slimkat weekly 3166 with everything set to Performance.

Could someone do a OpenGL ES 3.0 Benchmark maybe?
Since Qualcomm drivers for it are horribly broken, I think this was their entire focus.

What's permission 755?? Can't see it in properties on rw?? What should i tick?
I mean im just following this thread and what you did fir auto back up for this driver everytime we flash a new nightlies would be an ease.

Well tried it with "3DRating for OpenGL ES 3.0"

Why do people still think benchmarks have any real world validity?

Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app

On one hand, anyone can have a placebo and imagine that performance is better/worse after trying these new drivers.

Benchmarks on the other hand, can prove through tests if there is any real difference.

That would be true if benchmarks were real life application situations.. But it's not... There are so many variables in one's daily use that benchmark apps don't take in consideration... So benchmarks are just a symbolic test to get an idea of the virtual performance of your system.
