Wifi tethering...
su
cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/last_kmsg.txt
I also had reboot problems to be precisely 8 reboots right after rebooting up again from a crash with delay between that of about a minute or less.
So i went in the terminal emulator and did the following without success, any reason why?
Code:su cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/last_kmsg.txt
Syslog, bootlog also fail to get last_kmsg. I wanted to try it through adb shell. But adb needs to be updated on my end and i have been busy with other things had no time for it.
Any advice on how to quickly get it without needing my pc for it?
If there is no last_kmsg, it means that there was no kernel induced hard reboot.

As i think it might help killing some of the remaining bugs (code first!), I have been trying to build the ROM using this manifest :
https://github.com/sultanxda/Android/blob/cm-11.0/pyramid/local_manifest.xml
@marcjw Hmm, I think I read @cipher75 post differently. I think he means he wants to contribute, but to achieve that he first needs to be able to compile on his own machine. Currently he fails to do so, but doesn't really get what goes wrong. @cipher75 I can't help with your problem, sorry, I don't have a solution.
hi there,
As i think it might help killing some of the remaining bugs (code first!), I have been trying to build the ROM using this manifest :
https://github.com/sultanxda/Android/blob/cm-11.0/pyramid/local_manifest.xml
After a (very long!) while compilation stop with errors :
Code:hardware/qcom/media-legacy/mm-video/vidc/vdec/src/omx_vdec.cpp: In member function 'void omx_vdec::print_debug_extradata(OMX_OTHER_EXTRADATATYPE*)': hardware/qcom/media-legacy/mm-video/vidc/vdec/src/omx_vdec.cpp:8413:23: warning: comparison between 'OMX_EXTRADATATYPE {aka enum OMX_EXTRADATATYPE}' and 'enum OMX_QCOM_EXTRADATATYPE' [-Wenum-compare] hardware/qcom/media-legacy/mm-video/vidc/vdec/src/omx_vdec.cpp:8427:28: warning: comparison between 'OMX_EXTRADATATYPE {aka enum OMX_EXTRADATATYPE}' and 'enum OMX_QCOM_EXTRADATATYPE' [-Wenum-compare] hardware/qcom/media-legacy/mm-video/vidc/vdec/src/omx_vdec.cpp:8448:41: warning: comparison between signed and unsigned integer expressions [-Wsign-compare] hardware/qcom/media-legacy/mm-video/vidc/vdec/src/omx_vdec.cpp: In member function 'OMX_ERRORTYPE omx_vdec::handle_demux_data(OMX_BUFFERHEADERTYPE*)': hardware/qcom/media-legacy/mm-video/vidc/vdec/src/omx_vdec.cpp:8682:5: warning: format '%d' expects argument of type 'int', but argument 4 has type 'OMX_U32 {aka long unsigned int}' [-Wformat] hardware/qcom/media-legacy/mm-video/vidc/vdec/src/omx_vdec.cpp: In member function 'OMX_ERRORTYPE omx_vdec::vdec_alloc_h264_mv()': hardware/qcom/media-legacy/mm-video/vidc/vdec/src/omx_vdec.cpp:8796:50: error: 'CACHED' was not declared in this scope make: *** [/home/user/Work/cm11/out/target/product/pyramid/obj/SHARED_LIBRARIES/libOmxVdec_intermediates/src/omx_vdec.o] Erreur 1
It appears CACHED used in hardware/qcom/media-legacy/mm-video/vidc/vdec/src/omx_vdec.cpp is not declared in any include. (This var seems to be closely related to ion, later became ION_FLAG_CACHED).
Am i missing something ?
What do you think this is - a development thread? Sorry pal, but unless you can prattle on incessantly about battery life, s2w, slow gaming, bad colors, HDMI, OTG, or other such tripe, this thread isn't for you.
And if you have a problem and want to include a dmesg, logcat, last_kmsg, or other valuable information, I've got this advice for you - don't waste our time. We'd rather try and read your mind and make wild guesses about your issue.
And whatever you do, NEVER perform a full wipe. It's just too darn difficult to restore all those games and texts. And besides, TB is too expensive.
That awkward moment when you quote the wrong person...
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
I think he actually quoted the right person but was being sarcastic
