yeah, the funny thing is that there are two antutu's right now. there is the new antutu 5, which is a beta. that is the one that you are getting the errors on. then there is an update to the older antutu 4, which updates it to 5.1. that is the one you want to load. it will work on miscoms rom. i know it's a little confusing. i don't know why they were name them like that, but it is what it is. so try to find the older antutu 4 if you can. then let it update. or just look for the 5.1, and not the 5 beta. hopefully that will get you a good copy. good luck.

All,

Anyone got this silly Android 4.4.2 issue that the downloaded apps can't write on an external micro SD card?

I am rooted, tried SDFix and kitkat SD patch, nothing helps really.

I got a SanDisk 128gb class 10 card but it is really useless now. Grrrr

Latest Wanam Xposed

The latest Wanam Xposed released a few hours ago enables private mode with Xposed.

I haven't tested it yet though.

Blame it on Google. They made that change when they introduce Android KK.

There are several SD card fixes on marketplace (google play). Have a look and try it.

I had a lot of issues with a 64MB card. The 32MB card works great though. I tried the 64MB in my Note 3 with CM 11 latest nightly and it works great. I will try to figure out why that's happening.

Yep custom Roms don't suffer from this stupid problem. I was using omnirom built on KK 4.4.4 on my old sgs3 and never had an issue.

Hope you'll be able to create a working patch for g906k/s as the available apps on Google Play ain't helping.

Thanks for all your efforts!

Anyone has any idea on how to disable increasing ringtone volume?

First starts out soft for the first 2 seconds then suddenly it goes to max volume. That's kinda annoying.
Was wondering if anyone knows how to deal with that.

Thank you in advance!

Found a guide for a manual fix here:
http://www.droidviews.com/restore-write-capability-to-external-sd-card-on-kitkat-manually/

Then checked, the app SDFix: KitKat Writable MicroSD that I downloaded from Google Play did exactly that, i.e. modified the file /system/etc/permissions/platform.xml as per the guidance.

It didn't help at all!

I seem to have a bloody iPhone made by Samsung now as I cannot use my SD card properly.

If anyone knows how to fix it would be appreciated.:crying:

Guys, quick question to G906S users (maybe k users too).
My GPS wont see any satellites nor fix a lock whenever a sim card is inserted (try gps status free on play store).
However, upon removal of the sim card and rebooting without it, gps works fine (it actually locks very quickly and sees a lotnof sattelites).
I am wondering if this is happening to all?

Over the last month I've been using GPS navigation a lot, never had a lock issue. Satellites getting found super fast (much better than on my old sgs3).

Tried already with 2 different sim cards and the same, I mean, I have no problem navigating nor locating my position, its on the specific gps programs (like gps status) that it just wont find any satellite until I boot sithout a sim card....like the gps was usim dependant of some sort, will keep digging.

    Comparison with my N9005

    Battery

Battery life seems fine to me. The 2k screen not really draining the juice from the 2800mah. It last me around 10-11hours normal usage with LTE.

    Screen

I cant differentiate a FHD screen with a 2K one. The only different is N9005 screen is oversaturated.

    Sensor

There is no humidity and temperature sensor in this beast but it comes with heartbeat sensor and fingerprint reader.

    Camera

Not much different as from what i can see for now

    Benchmark

    3Dmark result : Maxed out ( Everything stock )

    Antutu score : 37900 ( Everything stock )

I also notice that the Wifi AC speed is much more slower compare with N9005. As i remember , my N9005 Wifi AC speed is over 150mbps but with this beast , all i get is 30mbps with Speedtest app.

Note that there is now official CF-Auto-Root for the Prime:

Not sure why there is no on-screen visual during rooting, but will check that out, and update the CFAR when I solve it.

    XtreStoLite LTE-A

    Hi G906 users,

I have the first test version of XtreStoLite G906 ready.
The ROM is based on the G906K KTU1ANH6 firmware.

But I think it will work on the G906L/S models also.

If someone wanna test it out for me (G906K/L/S) then give me an PM.

It has all the features of the latest international version of my XtreStoLite ROM (see my Sig.)

Make sure that you have already the most recent bootloader installed on your device if you want to test out my ROM.
If you don't know how to do this, then I can make an Odin flashable boot loader package for you of the most recent one, just let me know!

It looks as though @CallMESuper is working on the root / TWRP issues. http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=66879951&postcount=1073

On windows, I tried modifying TWRP 3.0.2 for g901f using Carliv's Image Kitchen and a few other tools - ended up with a recovery over the magic 15 MB, and of course it failed through Odin. At least I didn't brick my phone.

Even on stock MM, battery drain thus far seems minimal - much better than anything I experienced on LP roms.
I have ported twrp 3.0.2 from g901f and can flash supersu to root. I will release it after I confirm it will works on all g906.

    Rom s5 g906s

ROM MOVED TO ITS OWN THREAD

I made a new ODEX ROM and S Health is working.

Please refer to the OP to get instructions on how to do the initial root and install CMW Recovery.
Per the OP: Do not wipe/factory reset to install this ROM. That may damage your phone. Just install the ROM on top of your stock ROM.

I also tested doing a backup and a restore: It works fine.

As usual I am not responsible for anything that happens to your device.

ROM is rooted, ODEX, custom boot animation, and with Busybox. Also, I removed Knox.

    Enjoy!

    ROMS are non-wipe.
