Just for those that don't know.. I was racking my brain trying to figure out why after uninstalling a few apps they were still showing up under apps settings. After many scenarios I found that if you set multiple users on your device some of the data remains on other user profiles. To get rid of this select the app you deleted that still remains and hit the three dot menu at the top. It will ask if you want to delete for all users. Select yes and the remaining data will be gone. Just an fyi for anyone that might have this issue.

V410 rooted and flashed TWRP

I used Purpledrake to root on windows 8.1 with absolutely no issues. I then installed SuperSU and updated the binary. After downloading the TWRP .img file I used flashify to flash the .img and reboot. No pproblems however I noticed that the tablet kept trying to install lg PC suite to my PC and it interferes with the Purpledrake detecting the device just FYI for anyone having difficulty getting Purpledrdeteco detect your device.

Did you set the tablet to MTP mode in USB settings?

How to enable sms

So I figured out how to send and recieve sms on the V410

This will only work if you have texting on your carriers data plan.
BACK UP FIRST because you'll be editing the build prop..
I am not responsable for your lack of understanding if you boot loop.

1) First, you can download one of these mms apks from this thread and install: (mms will not work though, only sms)
http://xdaforums.com/google-nexus-5/themes-apps/themed-apps-kitkat-4-4-2-mms-apk-dark-t2519733
Or you can use Google Messenger: (my preference because mms works)
http://www56.zippyshare.com/v/EyGnHgRz/file.html

2) Next download this Xposed Module and enable, but don't reboot yet:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.makuser.nexussms

3)Then with a build prop editing app like Build Prop Tweaker
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ksharkapps.buildproptweakerlite, edit this line in the buildprop:
telephony.sms.send
Change from false to true then save.

4)Reboot.

5)Now when you open up the mms app or Messenger you'll have to set it to default unless you want to use Hangouts.

6)Text freely

Mms will not work on stock KitKat messaging apps do to limited apns. Google Messenger has built in apns which allows for mms and sms.

I HAVEN'T FIGURED OUT MMS YET. If someone would like to help on that I know it has something to do with limited apn settings on our devices.

EDIT: MMS works with messenger!!

Does it give you a phone #? Or does it use your email?

Was all about trying this until I realized I'm on my nexus 6... Isn't there a rule about screwing with stuff while tired isn't advised? Haha

    TWRP Recovery for V410

Here a copy of TWRP 2.8.1.0 for the V410 built by me.

To install, unzip and install it to your tablet either via dd or fastboot to the recovery partition.

Please also say thank you to @savoca for the kernel touch hack that makes TWRP touch work on the V400 / V410 :)

    Progress!!!!!!

Wow it works with v410 ?, i stuck with the recovery now and team codefire hasn't replied my email yet, let's wait for it.

    Progress!!!!!!

I managed to boot into CWM :) on my (LG G Pad 7.0) aka (LG v410) aka (e7lte) aka (e7lteatt). Yeap this tablet has more, than anything else.

I still have to fix the fstab making some parts are not mounting correctly ( ex: /sdcard wont mount. I have to manually mount the partition ).

Until I can fix I wont publish, I dont want people blaming me for their broken devices. :)

    @bangprovn
You where in the right path but your recovery image is missing dtb ( Device Tree Blob ) and it has the wrong fstab values. PM me to explain in detail what I did to make it work. Booting recovery from flashboot does not requieres img to be bumped, but if boot from device it still required to be bumped.

***People im still a noob at compiling android from source code, so don't expect any custom rom from me... making recovery work is one thing, compiling android complete is another thing. ***

Not sure if anyone noticed but I posted the Stock ROM over in the Android Development section.

Also I'm working on a stock based ROM that is de-bloated, deodexed , zip aligned, rooted, etc.

I have dumped aboot , abootb , boot and recovery.
    here it is.
    Dropbox[dot][com]/s/ski2gwx904bsiqh/Misc.7z?dl=0

Meanwhile , i was editing framework-res.apk and that has led to the pad being stuck at the at and t logo . Any ideas on how i can boot into stock recovery or adb the stock apk ? I am able to boot into download mode .
