Is battery life noticeably better? That's the main reason i wanna undervolt.

Sent from my "Black Beauty" using Tapatalk
It maybe provides marginally better battery life. I mainly do it so my phone runs cooler and therefore it take longer to hit its thermal limit (ie a couple thousand extra points on antutu). Any battery difference is just bonus!

Does fast charge work for USB connections or plugged into the wall? I can't see to go past 1800mA with "fast charge" on. I figured since it was a QC 2.0 chipset I could at least 2100 mA. At least I didn't waste money on this QC charger completely because its the only charger I have that charges faster than 1300 mA however 2100 would be very cool.

sorry if it had been asked before... i'm amazed how fast the device charges (s5 G900F on Twi5ted Rom v3) with Fast Charge ON, so im curious how safe it is to charge it with that Set to ON.?

---------- Post added at 04:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:30 PM ----------

and another thing in curious about... with Ktoonsified v4 profile wich OC cpu to 2.7gh and gpu to 600, Antutu shows 35000. don't get me wrong, I'm not the one to chase benchmarks. the rom with the kernel work flawless and superb and I don't care that in Stock rom and stock kernel Antutu was at 42 000 score, just wondering why lower score but better performance.

Hey, I had a similar question about my antutu score as well. Was getting about 42000 with the v4 profile (running blisspop) and couldn't understand why it dropped. I ended up undervolting and pushing the clock to 2.75 and got about 49000. The score doesn't really matter as long as the phone flys, which it does!

tell me this much... on the updated kernel with the same ktoonsifiedV4 profile screen on time improved by 1 minute, so it's 5 minutes - 1% drop (used to be 4 minutes) wich is in daily use = almost an extra hour of screen on time but I see Stand by time has gotten worse. maybe new kernel needs to adjust.
p. s. show me pics of your undervoltaged.

Ive noticed the same thing, im getting lots of wakelocks. My phones awake percentage is double the screen on percentage, even with almost everything greenified.

I'll see how much it will drop over night. on previous release 2-3% over night with wifi and sync on. if it's more than that, I'll give it a few days to settle in, if nothing changes with standby, I'll go back to earlier release.

my man thanx for your outstanding work... really... two questions, - with updated kernel did any of preset profiles changed in any way? ktoonsified v4 for example... or they are exactly as they were? and how safe it is to always have Fast Charge ON for battery or even a device? thanx.

because standby mode got worst. maybe new kernel needs time to adjust... i was thinking of calibrating the battery. but screen on time as I have posted earlier got better.

---------- Post added at 08:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:00 PM ----------

maybe in screen off settings profile better be changed from default (ktoonservative) to Interactive or something to save battery during standby time but also wake up without a lag.

What does a kernel do tot adjust...? It's not like it's some sort of advanced artificial intelligence with a conscience or something...

you gotta be kidding me... i'm not even gonna answer this question because it seems like a rhetorical one.

---------- Post added at 09:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:42 PM ----------

your need to catch up on what kernel actually is or does.

---------- Post added at 09:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:43 PM ----------

the system needs to adjust to a new kernel and vice versa. that's why you need to wait six cycles to come to a conclusion on battery life etc. SYSTEM SETTLES IN, whether you flashed a new rom or a new kernel.

I'm pretty sure this is where i need to be. What's the difference between a script and profile? I'm trying to rid my phone of the lag and have been trying different profiles with the kt kernel i thought the kernel im on was the one for me but after a cpl days The Lag is Back. Takes forever(literally) for apps to load, when i type it lags for about 5 seconds, when i get a call my gear watch starts to ring like 3 to 5 seconds before my phone actually starts to ring, it's really becoming a drag i just wanna rid myself of the lag. Any help at all would be great

Mine got better, been running Alliance ROM for past 6 days now and I loose 1-3% while I am asleep. You need to check wakelocks and wifi activity to see what is keeping your device awake more. And just a heads up wakelocks are produced from the ROM, not the kernel. The only wakelock that is technically produced from the kernel is charging wakelock, all the rest is your ROM and or apps you installed.

If it takes a few days, that is your ROM and or an app you installed leaking massive amounts memory which would cause severe lag. Profiles setup all the parameters that are available in KTweaker. Scripts (there are none that you should be using anymore, they are all obsolete as of last release) set other things that KTweaker does not.

    Change Log 02.25.2015
    1. Set TW 5.0 SELinux to permissive.
    2. Updated ramdisk for AOSP version.
    3. KTweaker version 9.0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    4. Added slider drawer for easy navigation
    5. Profiles and set on boot options can be easily loaded from the drawer
    6. Menu button still retained the easy navigation items like CPU, GPU, Scheduler Settings....
    7. Old "Tools" screen is now called "Utilities"
    8. New "Utilities" item: SELinux changer
    9. New "Utilities" item: Get Phone Information
    10. New "UI Settings" item: Startup Drawer Status is used to set whether the drawer is open or closed when starting the app
    11. New "UI Settings" item: Startup Screen is used to set which screen starts up when opening the app. You can pick from the list of screen available for startup or specify "Remembeer last screen" to make it go back to the last screen you were on.
    12. New "UI Settings" item: Main Background is used to set the color or an image to be used as the background in the main part of the screen. I have predefined ones and you can also pick from a image that you place in the /KTweaker/ThemeManager/Backgrounds folder
    13. New "UI Settings" item: Main Fore Color is used to set the color to be used as the fore color in the main part of the screen.
    14. New "UI Settings" item: Drawer Background is used to set the color or an image to be used in the Drawer part of the screen. I have predefined ones and you can also pick from a image that you place in the /KTweaker/ThemeManager/Backgrounds folder

    17. New "UI Settings" item: Drawer: Show Icons is used to specify if you want the icons to show in the Drawer part of the screen.
    18. New Menu item: "Reset Color Scheme" is used to reset everything back to stock if you mess up a setting for back/fore color items.
    19. All icons are now customizable too!!!! So if you dont like my icons all you have to do is download http://ktoonsez.jonathanjsimon.com/sgs5/StockKTweakerIcons.zip, extract them onto your PC so you can see the names of the icons for the different items, replace the ones you want with yours, then place them in the KTweaker/ThemeManager/Icons/ folder on your phone, DONE :)!!!!
    20. As a result of all these options in UI Settings this give you the ability to share your Theme if you want by zipping up the KTweaker/ThemeManager/Settings/, KTweaker/ThemeManager/Backgrounds/, KTweaker/ThemeManager/Icons/ folders
    21. Thats all I can think of right now, ENJOY THE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Change Log 03.25.2015
    1. ktoonservativeq: Totally revamped
    2. NEW tunable lockout_changes_when_boosting used to lockout changes to frequency and hotplugging activities during touch/button boost (this basically makes touch boost behave the old way before all the new code)
