Hi Garrykd - I flashed your 5/12 build last night, but noticed that Ambient Display and doze options weren't there. I also flashed Robbie's latest 5.1.1 build from 5/18 and didn't see them there. Are they included in your build from today?

Awe crap! I knew I forgot something. Yeah, I forgot the commits to enable doze.
Hopefully it will make it into the next build (which, fingers crossed, won't be too long, including pie :))

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.:)

Evening everybody, :beer: I'm using ezios latest build with code blue kernel but seem to be getting the odd lag turning on after screen off for a little while. Sometimes I'll push the power button a few times before it wakes. Anyone else experiencing this? I do have viper installed, plus I'm using an rro theme (sublime).

I'm sure it's something my end but just thought I'd ask before I go ahead and wipe again. I got to the ROM and kernel combo from a thorough clean flash but you never know

Happened to me few times. And I have no rro theme neither viper, so its none of those. The thing I know it didnt happened to me after I flashed ElementalX 2.14. So it might be a kernel thing, since I was on Code Blue kernel when I had those lags. Try ElementalX (you would probably have to reflash the rom before that) and see if you get the lags on that kernel.

That lag seems fixed (testing since two days) with the stock toolchain instead of ubertc, wait for the new build ;)
Also, the proximity wake feature has a known drawback, sometimes the power button has a delay. Slim devs has disabled it by default (i'll do the same), switch it off in the Display settings.

New shamu 5.1.1 build available in my OP

There has been quite some activity on SlimLP base, again, so, again, it was time for a repo sync ;)

I've reverted the SlimLP navbar for now and still included mine based on CM. It does have less "options", but for now I prefer how it behaves.

If you want, I could spin a build with the stock navbar, just let me know, but not tonight, it's past midnight here, time to get some rest ;)

I have almost same settings like yours, only using ElementalX instead Code Blue... and no one single problem here.

I put ezio's build and Code Blue on my wife's N5 and she reports significant wake delay. Seems it is that specific combo that's the problem.

Oops, missed your post, just saw it.

I don't have a guide, but it's pretty straight forward, I use Oracle Virtual Box as virtualizer, don't know if it's available for Mac, it exists for Linux and Windows at least.

F2FS working for data and cache, and system is on ext4 (maybee i've forget to switch partition...) with optimised build ONLY!

For your information, hardware button (menu, home and back) doen't do anything (they seems to work but no action), but now, we have the navigation menu came back, so we have to use the navigation bar.
Think hardware button action will came back later.

    Installation and kernel:

    - Get the latest bootloader, radio and vendor.img from 8.x factory images.
    - If you come from another rom do a factory reset and wipe system/caches. If you come from the previous build, a dirty flash should be enough.
    - After flashing the rom zip in twrp, flash gapps (Beans Gapps mini are recommended), then reboot and enjoy.

    For most of us, the love for custom ROMs and building had it's foundation in Slim.
    We love Slim. Period.
    There is no amount of thanks we can extend to the Slim Team, not just for their work but for the open-hearted nature to help anyone.
    If it were not for them, in all probability SBC would never have existed.
    Shout out in the loudest voice to Kufi, dankoman, jubakuba, josue, Griffin amongst the others for everything over the years.

    Change is the only Constant in life & we have reached a junction where it is time to spread the wings some more.
    We understand the need for folks to learn & use other popular 'brands' of builds.
    In our eyes, it would be disrespectful to the Slim team to have other ROMs posted in a section that was intended only for Slim.

    This had been in the works for a few weeks now & Garry has been belting out some cool banners.

    Slim Builders Collective is now Android Builders Collective.
    And we have a new home.
    We have moved one level in the forum, and now reside alongside Slim in the root of the Custom Roms forum.

    The move was thought out, as we did not want to move where there would be tons of new folks jumping in and derailing the essence of this thread.
    This was intended to & will always remain a place for people to learn building, cooking, having fun etc.
    We thank all the senior guys here for maintaining the same culture that we started off with.

    Please note that Multi-ROM is not supported, although it's in my shamu and hammerhead kernels ! If you run into issues do only report them if you can reproduce them without the use of Multi-ROM !

    Also I recommend to use 5.1.x bootloader, radio and gapps, for flounder update to 5.1.x vendor partition as well.
