Could please poste the steps you did you get it working I flashed stock rooted E build and the modem, radio with no luck.

Well I was first on team nocturnal's stock rooted E build with the new radio & bootloader but because of the custom kernel WiFi calling was not work, then I dirty flashed the one in the op and still the WiFi calling was not working so that's when i did a clean install of the one found here and saw the WiFi calling was working.

P.S when I first tried nocturnal's build & the one from here my phone was decrypted and after doing the clean install of the one here it encrypted my phone back and that is when I saw the WiFi calling feature working for me. I don't know if your phone has to be encrypted or not for the WiFi calling to work.

Could you indicate in more detail as to your setup (stock rooted with recovery, custom stock rom, etc)?

I'm using stock rooted ROM (unencrypted) with TWRP recovery:

1. Installed http://batakang.com/ftp/devs/mhous33/shamu/Bootloader_moto-apq8084-71.10.zip from OP in TWRP.
2. Rebooted into bootloader and then recovery.
3. Installed http://batakang.com/ftp/devs/mhous33/shamu/Baseband_D4.01-9625-05.14+FSG-9625-02.93.zip from OP but this probably wasn't needed.
4. Rebooted into bootloader to check the radio version. Then back to recovery.
5. Wiped system, cache, and dalvik-cache in TWRP. I didn't wipe data (I was on LVY47H).
6. Installed http://batakang.com/ftp/devs/mhous3...2f719b04896bc9.unsigned-shamu-LYZ28E-full.zip from OP.
7. Installed https://basketbuild.com/filedl/devs...u/misc/NO_FORCE_ENCRYPT_shamu_v1.0-signed.zip from http://xdaforums.com/nexus-6/development/mod-disable-force-encryption-rom-kernel-t3000788.
8. Allowed TWRP to add SuperSU when I rebooted.
9. Waited for OS to install and apps to upgrade.
10. Upgraded SuperSU and rebooted.
11. Enabled WiFi calling in Settings and rebooted (again).

It took about 15 minutes before the T-Mobile WiFi Calling feature enabled. I kept putting it into airplane mode to test and it refused to work. I tried a variety of different wireless AP but then it started working. For reference, I do have my E911 address in my T-Mobile profile (assuming that is required).

Thanks so much!

Can you let us know if you still have VoLTE? I installed only the modem, and immediately lost it. I've yet to try the bootloader + modem, but I'm hoping that the two combined will allow me to retain VoLTE, and be prepped for WiFi calling if it hits AOSP roms.

It is still checked in Settings (Enhanced 4G LTE Mode). Is there an obvious way to test it beyond good quality voice?

Just updated the radio only flashable zips; they are now identical to the radios in the full fxz files, as opposed to using the sdat format for radio.modem.img.
Probably doesn't make any functional difference, but the sdat format added unnecessary complexity...

Maybe this isn't the best place to post this but has anyone else had problems with layers working with the latest LYZ28E update? Causes my phone to force close repeatedly.

Coming from LMY47X aosp build---->

...
Kind of irrelevant in my case....
  • 1: I first clean flashed everything (wiped all partitions) since personally I was reinstalling multirom anyway.... so I installed from USB otg.
  • 2: Next I flashed LYZ28E-full.zipwhich is ota zip in the op.
  • 3: I flashed the force noencrypt kernel afterwards. From hereNO_FORCE_ENCRYPT_shamu_v1.0-signed.zip which was found in this thread here /mod-disable-force-encryption-rom-kernel-t3000788
  • 4: Last I rebooted phone up( took an extra few minutes to boot and build system files), then installed SU, rebooted once again took a from another phone to check bootloader .When it booted up I had wifi calling. I tested wifi calling along with testing VoLTE and both work as they should too.
*** Note I did go into APN settings and toggle LTE and VoLTE before selecting correct apn again...(It's a flash habit) Here are some screenies below....

This is an archive of all radios released for shamu (excluding developer preview builds) in recovery flashable format.
All radios are compatible with all variants of Nexus 6, and some have reported better reception using alternate radios.
I have also added the latest bootloader in recovery flashable format.

    Usage is very simple:

Copy update zip to internal storage
    Reboot into recovery
    Install zip
    Profit!

I know you were not the original requestor, but I'm feeling lazy today. I'll create a flashable zip soon. Just need to dust off the N6 and flash first, so maybe give me a day or two.

As promised, here's 05.34 in flashable zip form: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24457741883932835

@Q9Nap, Stock 7.1.1 is out, is there any changes?

Thanks for the heads up, was just looking for the update last night.
Bootloader is still 72.01, but there is a new radio, 05.44, added to the op, enjoy!
    21
Just added the 05.39 radio from npd90g.
The bootloader is still 71.21 on this build.
Making your own recovery flashable radios is pretty much a no-brainer now that google is releasing full otas of all the builds.
I may deprecate this thread soon, especially considering how OT it has become, just fyi...

Just added the 71.18 bootloader to the op, enjoy!
Just fyi, I removed the old ones awhile back as I didn't want to be responsible for people hard bricking their devices...
