THX IT WORKED , ANOTHER Q do i need to update my bootloader too to latest one ? (so its on 100% update and stable ) and which one works best ?
Okay, I will provide details of exactly what is removed when I have time. No Battery tweaks, only the benefit of a lighter OS.Any chance to get more detailed changelog for optimised ROMs? These points are not so clear: "Debloated | Non-essential Motorola Services removed (which ones?) | More RAM available | Improved Battery Life (simply as a result of first two points or something special?)". Personally i'm interested in changelog for 5.1 Dual Sim ROM when it'll be available. Thanks.
Fastboot is not mentioned in OP, as it is not required. Simply wipe and flash ROM. If possible TWRP > Format Data > Yes. Read OP and following posts for more information. There are no problems running the US ROM on your phone. No Radio Firmware is required.Hi, I'm sorry to bother but I'd like to be sure of what I'm doing before I install the new optimised version.
I'm currently on the latest optimised rom 5.0.2 retail EU.. If I want to install the new US 5.1 version optimised should I do something before the wipes and flashing the zip with the recovery, because in some thread I read about the fastboot and mfastboot methods to install the new rom.
About the different retail, is it a problem if I install the US version? Should I flash a different radio after the rom since I live in Italy?
And what problem could I face by installing a US rom on a non US phone?
You are free to do as you want. But you ask my opinion; not wiping and Formatting Data (TWRP > Format Data > Yes) will result in a ROM that is not Optimized, and possibly full of bugs.@lost101 , I know it's stupid qn, being lazy,
can I update my existing 'Retail Asia 5.0.2 Stock ROM (Optimized) v1.4' to 'Retail Asia 5.1 Stock ROM (Optimized) v1.0' without full wipe, as an upgrade ??
@lost101 Is it possible that the optimized rims may lag in performance coz of the optimizations added into it?
And do u have any experience if xposed is the cause of lags if we are using it?
A few observations after running Retail US 5.1 Stock ROM (Optimized) v1.0 for a few days:
1. Swiping Navigon (GPS) closed from the 'Recents' menu now actually closes the app. In GPE 5.1, the app would not close this way. This probably applies to other apps with persistent notification access.
2. Cast Screen | Miracast Screen-Mirroring has been removed from system menus, yet is fully functional in GPE 5.1. It may be possible to access this feature via 3rd party app.
I'll have a better idea of this in the next week or two.
You never know, but even if there is no official release; I will do everything I can to make Stock Marshmallow on Falcon a reality.Sad thing this might be last stock Update for MotoG 1st Gen. Don't think if MotoG will ever get official marshmallow update.
