Or you could you know, maybe just buy a brand name extended battery? Lol. Interesting mod though. That would kind of make me nervous though.

I was actually thinking about this the other day. Than I realized that my batteries are almost 2 years old already. Probably better to just replace them.

What did you use to cover the battery, I did the same sort of thing but did something with otterbox Defender.

It no longer has the pictures but here are mine

I used a dremal tool to cut the holes. I am wondering if there might be a better way to cover it, since it is a little loose without the rubber cover.

Battery I used.

While i give you props for making it work, i don't think its useful on our device.. We have removeable batteries and there are extended batteries that work just fine and bypass all the fire/Explosion/damaging risks.

Hi guys, check my double battery mod. It was quite easy, tho you need to be very careful not to make any fire and so.

The photos album is here (too lazy to upload here): https://goo.gl/photos/DLpzAq4idBsSzeWH9

Write your opinions here :) Judge me :)

I looked at the album the only thing I am unclear on, and have a question about is what you did or used for making the batteries stay in place. It looks like just using leather that you forced formed around the batteries, and case. Is that what you did? I'm looking at better ways of keeping my battery in place, while your idea looks good, im just not sure what you did exactly or used. Or if the is actually a possibility of using something more lightweight, and smaller.

I used to have a double battery on an old blackberry, it was just to noticeable when sitting in my pocket. I can see the same thing happening here. Regardless awesome work, cool mod.

It's nice that it's possible, but with such a big back I don't think it's all that useful. Furthermore, how long does charging take? Twice as much or more?

Just buy zerolemon extended battery.
Instead of making your own DIY S4 bomb on your pocket.

Haha love the idea. Congratz for pulling this off. Would have never thought of it. Initially I thought you somehow squeezed the two into the same one-size space - insane. I would personally go for an aftermarket build, but if you go creative enough I think you can still pull something interesting for a DIY proj. Some ideas:

1. put the battery in a thick plastic wrap (compact) and connect it to your phone via usb.
2. attach velcro on the battery and your phone and continue with step 1. you will have more or less what you have now, except it is modular - detachable.
n. hammer the two batteries into one so you have double the capacity - just dreaming... :fingers-crossed:

You pretty much end up into solutions that are already out there. Even so, I think you could end up with a bit more compact solution. Hackish in the same time.

Good luck
