LoooooL..
I think installation Omni rom it will be the same.
Can you install stock> install this rom http://xdaforums.com/galaxy-s-i9000/i9000-development/rom-android-icecold-project-7-0-i9000-t3205888> and finish install my A-ROM?

Sorry about the delay, just got the jig in yesterday, download mode works. Now I am downloading the AICP ROM. I suppose I can flash AICP with Odin, because Recovery install does not work. I keep you posted, saw you had a 3.1 version in the time being. Thanks for the update, hope I can sort this phone out soon to try your ROM.

I downloaded the ROM file, but cannot flash it, because its a ZIP file. Are they by any chance available in .tar or .tar.md5 extensions?

@bronxboy1: You need to flash dbdata again with odin. Find dbdata on xda by search function an put it in PDA. Make sure re-partition in UNchecked! This should work. Or find a 3part StockROM an flash it with pit using odin.

Other thing as I am new on I9000. I just repaired a scrambled partition (thats why I know this thing above) and rooted the device again with CF-root. Now I got a 3.something CWM. Am I able to flash this ROM or do I have to update/change recovery prior to flashing? And if yes, how to? (I know this is a noob question, anyway need an answer)

Thanks a million dracov76! This fixed the bootloop I've been having. Now I have to backtrack what went wrong the first time and try to install the custom ROM.

---------- Post added at 03:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:33 PM ----------

Which recovery do you guys use? I think thats what went wrong with me the first time, I used the wrong recovery...

I might've used a i9001 recovery the first time around... Any tips/help on a working recovery is much appreciated.

Thanks for your reply DerCasi. I searched all 90+ topics on the i9000 development section, but did not find the Mackay 4 recovery. Do you by any chance have a link?

Sorry for being imprecise. I should have said, that I first installed Mackay 4.9.13 ROM, fullwiped and then installed A 5.1.1.

Sorry for pointing at a different ROM, hope you don't mind @dracov76.

Ok, I'll go check it out. I hope it's an Odin install, because I don't have custom recovery on the phone. Tnx for your help.
