Quick question I couldn't really find by Googing. What purpose does the vendor image serve? Like, what does it actually do? (Not asking what updating does, but the vendor image itself). Thanks. :good::cowboy:

FAQ in the second post and it's been talked about at least fifty times in this thread. It is a bunch of proprietary binaries and files that help run the components and functions of your phone (like the camera and fingerprint sensor).

Thanks a ton. I've been wondering that for awhile now. Also, I'm assuming the changelog is still being updated, correct?

Hi, I've tried to flash the vendor both by TWRP and fastboot but I got the message of "Size too large". Has anyone encountered this issue before? Thanks

target reported max download size of 494927872 bytes
sending 'recovery' (185129 KB)...
OKAY [ 4.011s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: size too large)

I'm still a little confused. For the purpose of dirty flashing the latest version of Pure Nexus, should I flash the vendor image on boot or recovery partition?
In fastboot: fastboot flash vendor "vendor.img" where the part in quotes is the path and name of your vendor.img

flash it to the vendor partition not recovery

flash to vendor. you might need to update twrp to 3.0 for the vendor option to show up

also people with root issues were you previously using systemless root?

So I found the SuperSU isn't in my app drawer, apps section in the settings, or in the settings below PureNexus Settings. I also read above that a simple flash of SuperSU should fix this, do I have to flash the SuperSU.zip with the initial flash of the ROM or can I just flash it over my current setup, wipe caches, etc.?

EDIT: No longer needed. Answered my own question along with questioning my own stupidity. Please disregard.

Well after a bit of an absence while rebuilding the rom from scratch for 7.0 i am finally pleased to announce the return of PureNexus!!

    a couple things to note:
*not all mods from marshmallow will be in the first build so be patient as i add your favorite mods, etc!
*as of right now the rom only has substratum legacy support. will update to full blown substratum as the stability increases for N!
*changelog doesnt display anything for this first build as all changes are listed on github/xda op, changelog will be back next release!

ok, Lets get to the goodies!!

New 7.0 Build with some more features, and some fixs, i am aware that 7.1.0 has dropped(pixel development branch) however it is not the final 7.1 and would be unstable as it stands right now(no kernel source, no gapps, etc). so i am going to stick with 7.0 until the final 7.1.1 source is live for stabilitys sake :)

Also i have taken over support of banks gapps and rebranded them as just "Dynamic Gapps" mini & full, mini is the traditional banks gapps, and full is purenexus gapps
