And that is a major fact! No recovery, use iphone. ?
Finally made my own aroma installer to restore my apps and it works great with latest version. Great work!
Not sure. I followed this guide: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2422457
So I had my own custom aroma-config and such. I just made the aroma installer as a quick way to restore my apps. I tried the default one that came with the zip from the above thread but I kept getting weird errors. So I used the update-binary files from icex rom (http://xdaforums.com/lg-g2/development/rom-icex-rom-t3271099) which worked fine
Interesting. Thanks. All of the source links point to 2.7 source, but I see binarys for 3.0.... not sure what the deal is. Good to know that 3.0 is the way to go! I'll update some posts.
edit: Which file (or files) did you replace? I want to upload them to my site. Thanks bud!
I'm pretty sure this one is version 2.7 because that's what it says when flashing (I also did the same thing for my nexus 5x except I took the update-binary and such from an aroma kernel installer for the 5x and it said version 3 when flashing. It works fine on default twrp 3.0).
Here are the update-binary, update-binary-installer, aroma-config, and updater-script I used for my VS980.
@blastagator, those CloudyG2 files you gave me worked perfectly! It completely fixed IceX ROM v4.0 with AROMA installer v2.7RC2, Open GApps still has the freezing on exit problem, but I don't think that that matters that much. Thanks!
This is certainly one of the best supported TWRP builds. I don't even have a G2, I'm only here because I answered the occasional question. And now I'm here to congratulate @blastagator on finally getting his RC title. Well deserved, keep up the good work!
They should add a new status, Superman.Thanks man, I really appreciate it
This started as a side project to learn some stuff and has blossomed into this colossus. Going back to some of the first pages of this thread always makes me laugh and think to myself "wow, i really didn't know anything back then!" lol.
@blastagator
after installing healthy marshmallow kernel i got this. . before upgrading to this version of recovery i didn't had any problems with data,cache on f2fs
i'm on exodus ROM
it's weird because i didn't encrypted anything ...
I believe this is what happens when your kernel doesn't support the file system (or possibly the ROM)
