This will be a great idea. Someone of us, can do it?
I have contacted HTC Dev directly and they confirmed an update WILL be released for Android 6.0, however there is no confirmed date. Here is an extract from the message:
This is to acknowledge your concern regarding the release date of Android 6 for your device.
We can feel the urgency of your concern and rest assured to provide relevant information for your concern.
Upon checking on our system, we do not have a tentative date of release for the Android Marshmallow.
However, you can always check from Settings > About > Software updates from time to time.
You can also open the dial pad on your phone and key in *#*#2432546#*#* to check from the server if there are any updates for your device.
As for me, I have bought the HTC One M9 Plus Supreme Camera edition 2 months ago and I'm happy with that even if the Android 6.0 update would be nice (hoping that HTC won't remove the sense in process as has happen with the HTC 10). I don't want to change phone so fast!!
The problem they don't know when like us , ppl start talking about N update , and we are stucking on 5.0.1I have contacted HTC Dev directly and they confirmed an update WILL be released for Android 6.0, however there is no confirmed date. Here is an extract from the message:

Check out @LlabTooFeR's Tweet: https://twitter.com/LlabTooFeR/status/731079662865158144?s=09I think the only reason we all need an update for this device is because 5.0.2 Lollipop is a complete package of annoying bugs for every single devices in the market.
If they had provided us with at least a 5.1.1 update, then maybe we wouldn't had faced any problems, we also wouldn't have cared about the marshmallow update.
But thanks to HTC, they had skipped 5.1.1. update for our device in favor of marshmallow update which we are still waiting to get it, and maybe thanks to mediatek also.
