Just one more thing I need to ask, which out of the two, 12.1 or MM should I install if I want smoothness and speed (battery okayish)
thanks
thanks
Hi bauner;Hi bauner;
Thanks you very much! Well done!I want to use f2fs for n7000. Could you please add f2fs for /system /storage/sdcard0 and /efs? Right now, [Android 6.0.1] NightOwl 20160616 only support for /cache /data. And tell me how to do it. Thanks a lot!
Hi bauner;
Thanks for your quick reply. Could you please add Uksm, TuxOnIce and pf-kernel patch for this ROM?Because those featrues are fantastic! I guess everyone want to add these features in n7000. I know it takes your time to do that. If you could do these, everyone uses the ROM will appreciate your hard work. How can I change the size of the zram0, and the swappiness should be 100 or 60 in this ROM. How about let /data and /sdcard share one partition, and use wrapfs for /sdcard. Beause the performance of fuse filesystem is not so good.
It is nearly the same. But it seems that cm12.1 performs better on gaming.Just one more thing I need to ask, which out of the two, 12.1 or MM should I install if I want smoothness and speed (battery okayish)

Maybe I will test later uksm but not tuxonice and the pf kernel patches.Hi bauner;

Adoptable storage is currently not working in this rom.Hi everyone.
I was wondering if I would be able to flash CM13 from device portable storage? (internal device storage allocated to store photos files etc)
Basically I want to move all the zip files into this partition so that I can format my SD card as internal storage to get more space for apps.
Would I be able to flash CM13 zip file from phone internal storage if needs be?
I did consider repartitioning my internal storage, but being a newcomer I'm still not confident enough to give it a go, therefore I went with SD card option.
Thanks a lot in advance. You guys rock! :good:
Hello, can I use Lanchon's repit to reduce my 6gb data partition from pitfiles. I want to reduce my data to 4gb so I can have about 8gb internal data (sdcard0). Is it possible?Your posted repit settings will only enlarge the system partition to 1GB. It will not enlarge the data partition to allow installing more apps.
I would suggest you to use my one (It will also not modify the preload partition so it is also possible to go back to a stock rom without the need to repartition again)
lanchon-repit-20160406-system=same+keep+ext4-data=6+keep+ext4-sdcard=max+keep+vfat-preload=same+keep+ext4-n7000.zip
ext4 is the used format for the /system, /data, /cache and /preload partition and vfat is used for the sdcards
I made 2 versions of twrp 3.0.2 because the first one did only work with cm13.
To go sure that you will get the fixed version you should use the download link in the first post
It is nearly the same. But it seems that cm12.1 performs better on gaming.
Maybe I will test later uksm but not tuxonice and the pf kernel patches.
As I see the pf patches are mostly the ck patchset which is optimized for a desktop workload and not for android.
The swappiness is set to 100 as default. You can modify the zram size and many other kernel settings with tools like Kernel Adiutor.
Making the sdcard as emulated storage in the data partition would need to repartition the internal storage with a layout which would break all other (stock)roms. So I will not do it.
Adoptable storage is currently not working in this rom.
So if you want to get more space for apps you should repartition your device.
lanchon's repit method (more infos in the first post) is safe to use and you will not loose any data
Is only the mobile data connection is affected and you can make calls?Hello there,
Can someone help me. I just flash to this rom from stock firmware 4.1.2.
I follow all the step mention on the first thread. It was successful.
But, the mobile network is not working. Sometimes, it detect the sim, but only for a second. Then gone again.
Wifi+camera+bluetooth seems to work though.
Is there something i missed? Please help.
Still new to this custom rom flashing
I did not test it but it should also work. But make a backup of your filesHello, can I use Lanchon's repit to reduce my 6gb data partition from pitfiles. I want to reduce my data to 4gb so I can have about 8gb internal data (sdcard0). Is it possible?

I can't say much about it because in my earlier tests it did not work to format it as internal.I did format my SD-card as internal storage and it is working fine (so far) however I have read somewhere it's not a good idea to do so because it can cause system instability if the card is removed. Unfortunately when I read the article it was too late as I had already formatted my SD-card as internal storage. So now my question is, can I just remove it and re-flash ROM from scratch? Or am I forced to keep the SD mounted on my device from now on?
Thank you very much for your ongoing support.

Can you enter the sim pin?
Can you try it with another sim card?

Here are some more informations about adoptable storage

To undo it it should be enough to format the sdcard again as mobile storage.
If this should not be enough you can make a factory reset (and format the sdcard again in the recovery to go sure).
There should be no need to reflash the rom
The sdcard should also work with this name. Thanks Bauner.
I did reflash the ROM to avoid any system issue.
Only thing is my device internal partition (sdcard0) got renamed when I formatted the external SD card as internal storage. It's now showing as M-^IPNG^M^J^Z^J instead of it's usual /storage/sdcard0 volume name and that's even after re-flashing. However If I boot into recovery the volume name is still sdcard0 as per usual. It's basically showing that odd volume name when I'm booted. Any tips on how to rename the volume to it's original name before I try repit?
Thank you very much in advance.
The sdcard should also work with this name.
But you can try to format it in the recovery as (v)fat to get the default name back
I currently use the isorec twrp so I can't say where you can exactly find it in philz. But I believe it is named wipe and format options.Ok thank you very much for the prompt response.
Only option I see in philz cmw 6 is mount/unmount. Should I look into format option or elsewhere?
Funny thing is I even removed the extrenal sd card nevertheless phone internal storage storage still showing that odd name.

You earlier wrote about the name of sdcard0 which is the internal sdcard.
The external sdcard is sdcard1
Dont worry too much about it. I have the same issue as yours back then but as bauner said it will be fine working. After a few week it was back to its default name sdcard0. Same in external sdcard1.Hi there.
I have got the same issue. It did occur after I formatted sdcard1 as internal storage. Right after that I noticed sdcard0 had been ranamed "M-^IPNG^M^J^Z^J". I then took sdcard1 out re-flashed ROM but sdcard0 is still showing that odd name. Have you managed to fix the issue? How would I fix that?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Here no problems with GPS. Working just fine with maps and sygic.
Have within seconds a good GPS signal, see image below.
Also uploaded my GPS config file, perhaps you should check that out. Perhaps there are some settings missing, just change the nl word for your local country. For example be (Belgium or de (Germany).

It should also work fine with the name. Thanks, I'll see how I go. You had no issue whatsoever with that?
Only thing is I want to try and repartition sdcard0 through repit and I'm worried it won't work if the volume has the wrong name.
The last_kmsg log will only help if you had a full reboot.Hi @bauner
this morning i have had a reboot. Here it is last_kmsg file.
i'm currently using last nightowl
The last_kmsg log will only help if you had a full reboot.
What exactly did you do as you had the reboot?
Can you reproduce it if you will do the same again?
Use my Roms only if you are sure about the risks of flashing custom Roms/Kernel to your device. I'm not responsible for any damage caused by using one of my files.
