Hey, anybody else can't get Titanium Backup to work? I have phh's superuser and 8/21 PN with ElementalX kernel. Earlier it said titanium Backup can't detect root, so I uninstalled it. now it won't install for me. Not saying this is a rom related thing but anyone any ideas?

Works fine for me PN elementalx but Im using Chainfire Supersu (not systemless). Not sure if this is your issue but I have busybox installed.

Flashed the ohh supersu zip a couple of times again and it works now. I got a bad feeling it'll fail to detect root after a while. That's what ends up happening...

Thanks for the birthday wishes guys :)

Appreciate it!!

As for the pixel ya I canceled my order everything about it was just really discouraging to me :( gonna evaluate how things go and most likely get one after release when we know that they will still release source etc.

As for PureNexus I have 2 things left on my todo list and then release :) definitely over the weekend!!

I have the same birthday also, but probably a few decades earlier (1948).
I gave the iPhone 6S+ a serious chance. Had one for a couple weeks and swapped sims into it so it could be "my" phone.

There are some things that are nice about it, but what really irked me were A) the lack of notification LED (seriously, what is Apple's bs explanation for not having one?) and B) the bluetooth connectivity to my car was wonky. And considering Android bluetooth isnt the greatest in the world, I couldnt believe that Apple's was even worse.

Now dealing with my wife's 6S draining battery like mad. Of course the amount of tools to diagnose are so limited. So I get to take a trip to the genius bar tomorrow. Cant wait.

Happy Birthday, Beans!

Hope you took a break from phone stuff and just relaxed.

For anyone other than the birthday guest, has anyone else had problems getting the phone to boot? I've been on the latest 8/21 build for a while, and within the last couple weeks or so, if I'd flash like a kernel update or a themed google app update or anything in recovery, when I booted back into system it was hit or miss whether it would actually boot up or just sit at the spinning colored circles.

Usually booting into recovery and wiping caches fixes it, but it's still hit or miss.

I'm redownloading the 8/21 zip and verifying the md5 and I'm gonna start fresh, just to see if hopefully that will fix it...

What's All this about going to the darkside? Apple would never be my second choice, if my droids suddently failed me. Alone the fact that they use "Supermario" as a selling point should wake people up.

I think Google has shot there self in the foot with the pixel phones being so expensive . they are kinda starting to act like apple

Yeah plus they are only going with big red and apple goes with all major carriers and that helps people to get the expensive phones on a payment plan I've had a nexus for years and you mean to tell me I have to pay 800 for a phone because it has a 821 and Google assistant and that's the 32 GB model haaaa I would rather a axon 7 for 400 or I'll keep my 6p even apple got 2 speakers on their phone this year wtf is Google thinking I bet you next year's phone price drops after this the phone looks like it's worth 450-500 tops for the plus

I have the axon 7 and the 6p.

AXON 7 speakers and hi-fi aux blow anything I've ever heard out of the market. It's an awesome phone, I get a full days use on a single charge no problem. Battery life is better on axon than it is my 6p.

Plus..... micro sd.....

Caveat is the dev community is not even comparable to 6p.. But unlocked bootloader, xposed, root, and twrp are available for it.

All major oems f'ed up this quarter. (Except LG and Motorolla is in a questionable state IMO)

I'd definitely keep the 6p. Pixl? Meh.. Projects like this will keep the phone alive AND interesting for years to come.

For others who are a little wary of playing around with ADB and Fastboot, it might be easier to understand watching some of Maowdroid's videos :) he's a fellow Aussie who has a N6P and has little tutorials that explain how to root, update rooted ROMs, using Flashfire, etc... came in handy when I needed a refresher after being out of the game for a while, lol

https://www.youtube.com/user/MaowDroid

These videos helped fix my issues with adb/fastboot also (on Windows 10)

Nougat release coming over the weekend... that's great news! I've somehow broken WiFi and mobile connectivity on my 6P on stock Nougat, so this couldn't come at a better time. I'll save my factory reset for the weekend :)

Oh, and happy birthday!

The only thing that's appealing me with regard to the Pixel, is the form factor. I loved the Nexus 5 size, and the Pixel seems perfect size wise. With that said, the price has highly disillusioned.

However, new release of the weekend; I can't contain my excitement!

@BeansTown106 Happy Birthday man ! :)

I wanted to know if crowdin is up to date (available for 7.0) ? And so, if we can already help to translate ?
I'd be glad to help you to provide an even more ended product when you'll be done with your magic ! :)

Thanks for your work and patience !

I get the point but there also needs to be a Point made that ppl are lazy, so lazy that sometime they post a question when the answer is a post right before theirs or they won't even read the 1st post of something they are running, instead of taking 30 seconds to read a few lines or Maybe a few minutes to scroll thru a few pages, they post a their question in hopes of quick answer. It happens way too much.

Well after a bit of an absence while rebuilding the rom from scratch for 7.0 i am finally pleased to announce the return of PureNexus!!

    a couple things to note:
*not all mods from marshmallow will be in the first build so be patient as i add your favorite mods, etc!
*as of right now the rom only has substratum legacy support. will update to full blown substratum as the stability increases for N!
*changelog doesnt display anything for this first build as all changes are listed on github/xda op, changelog will be back next release!

ok, Lets get to the goodies!!

New 7.0 Build with some more features, and some fixs, i am aware that 7.1.0 has dropped(pixel development branch) however it is not the final 7.1 and would be unstable as it stands right now(no kernel source, no gapps, etc). so i am going to stick with 7.0 until the final 7.1.1 source is live for stabilitys sake :)

Also i have taken over support of banks gapps and rebranded them as just "Dynamic Gapps" mini & full, mini is the traditional banks gapps, and full is purenexus gapps
