Anyone know if QuickPanel Manager works on 6.0.1? I'm guessing it doesn't if toggles are apparently managed by SystemUI?

Hi guys,

I had the same problem with Mobile Data toggle went missing when I switched CSC. I have a Superman rom on my S7 SM-G930W8 and I decided to switch to a Canadian CSC XAC. In doing so I lost the Mobile Data toggle, so I knew it was a CSC (region specific) issue.

Anyway, If you have root you can fix this. I was tinkering last night and downloaded CSC Features Expert from the playsotre by Wanam. It's Free. I used the app to see what CSC specific variables I can change and came across "Config Def Quick Setting Item" variable with a list of all the quick setting toggles. So added the word ",MobileData" REMEMBER THE COMMA! at the end of the list and got my toggle back.

Hope that helps everyone.
Hi thanks for the fix. Can you help me find exactly what I'm looking for within that CSC features expert, I looked but can't find it :(

Thanks

Yes. Marshmallow has removed option tor us to edit toggles in system settings database. Apparently, the toggles are now stored in system_ui.
Yes, with the root, you can either manually edit your csc others file, or use this app to edit same file, adding mobile data toggle.
Don't know how it works if the toggles are undisturbed, but in my case, because I move toggles to my liking, adding this line to csc does nothing. Until I reset only settings. Then it of course reverts to default, which is what we are editing, so then the toggle shows up.
Quickly set up settings, move the toggles, success.

I appreciate your help in advance. I am trying to follow this post of yours to add the Hotspot toggle. I've got the CSC Features app for samsung and I've added the ,WifiHotspot, line seen in attached screenshot.
Then I went to Backup/Recover and reset settings after phone reboot. Hotspot toggle not there. I'm wondering if the old WifiHotspot verbage has changed to something else in Marshmallow. Thanks for your help.

Canadian user here on Telus. Added ,MobileData to the list. Saved and restarted. MobileData toggle not showing but present in the list in CSC Features Expert. Restored the CSC features settings to default and rebooted. Nada. I'm going to try the good lock from Sammy.

This worked beautifully for me :)

AT&T removed it, it's not Samsung's fault.

Providers from North America seem to remove the Data Toggle from quick launch to make it harder for us to turn data off in a flick. basically making the PROVIDERS MORE MONEY ON OVERAGE CHARGES!!!

As im in the cellphone industry in Canada, Nothing is really stated that is true about the toggle, but in my mind thats the reason cuz our providers are a bunch of snakes. specially in Canada(Highest prices on plans for Mobile phones in the WORLD. 1 Premium Smartphone at full subsidy = $110CAD for Unlimited Nationwide talk and international text, 2.5GB data)

I am sure the Toggle is hidden somewhere in the CSC, and I am planning to find it, as I use a custom rom that loads ITV(Italy) CSC and shows data toggle, switched it to my country and blam toggle was gone. If I cannot find it, I may resort to finding a CSC that gets LTE+ icon/connection as I do not know if the ITV gets it as it only shows 4G

This worked, thanks a lot! To anyone else, after you add ",MobileData," don't forget to reset the settings (Settings->backup and reset->reset settings). Do this after the first reboot and the data toggle should be there.

Toggle help!

There is kinda fix/shortcut if you are using Nova Launcher. Its a 2 click process to toggle data On/off. If anyone interested, i can explain how to do that.

Hey, I have nova, but it's not the paid version. I'm probably gonna buy it though cuz I've been using and loving it for years. What is your nova workaround for the data toggle. I have the s7 edge on at&the

Mobile Data on/off toggle is missing in the quick toggles when we pull down the statusbar. I want it back. Anyways to do that?

Which line do I have to look for?
I've been digging and I can't find anything
You need to edit the others.xml file in System/CSC on your device. When you open the others.xml you will see the csc code. Edit the line that says ConfigDefQuickSettingItem and add MobileData on the end. After editing make sure to set permissions if they changed to 644. I used root explorer to do all this. After editing the CSC go into settings, general then reset settings on your device. When it reboots go to edit the quick setting icons and the Mobile Data Icon will be there.

Unfortunately now the toggle settings are overwritten by CSC. However if you have root, you can get the Mobile Data Toggle back and it works :)
    Tested on Canadian(Rogers).
